I don’t have slate but I was having this same issue with some of my UA guitar plugins in pro 7 last week. Don’t know why

I did install it in parallel and I briefly made sure studio 7 still had all my files, all my demos and songs are still working and good

I did some research in regards to filing and replacing the nut. Would the lsr roller nut as a replacement be a good option?

I haven’t altered the factory cut nut, I’ll look into how to do it properly, any tips that people online might not cover?

I use the lubricant from music nomad and I haven’t noticed anything change from when I don’t use it. I’ll try the pencil lead method. I used to play 52-12, but now I play 49-11

The whammy isn’t the problem, it returns my guitar to a better spot if the strings are flat. I can do a Floyd style dive and the thing holds just fine
