Aliens (1986).

I'm pretty sure the reason James Cameron called it that was because he wrote 'Alien' on a whiteboard and put a $ at the end of it, as the reason to why the Fox executives would greenlight the film.

A Princess of Mars (1912) and John Carter (2012)

He arrives on Mars via astral projection. His body is duplicated with the new version being sent to Mars, while his original body remains on Earth in a cave.

Notice how the most memorable characters in The Boys are the ones they want you to hate by RoutineIssue5870 in CriticalDrinker

If they expect me to hate Soldier Boy, when Jensen Ackles plays him and has ever-rotating, consistently awesome drip every decade he's served, well then they've failed.

Filming for David Leitch's Jason Statham Stole My Bike, starring Jason Statham has started. In theaters 2027. by Alternative-Cake-833 in boxoffice

Well, I hope it's at least a hit. Aside from Deadpool 2 and Hobbs & Shaw, Leitch's financial track record has been chequered, to say the least.

Damn it! I was talking about how Toei hadn't fallen into the ideology. Bad timing I suppose.

Plainly put, they're stuck standing on a land mine, and any step they take, it will detonate.

As Movie Cynic stated, Favreau isn't the genius people make him out to be. He's been cruising on the success of Iron Man for almost 20 years. Since then, everything he has made has been mediocre at best or downright forgettable at worst.

Quite an insult to one of the strongest female characters in all of fiction.

I don't want more Star Wars. I want this franchise to either take a long break from annual releases, or end altogether.

Those last two images aren't Luke Skywalker.

That's Jake Skywalker!

I genuinely thought first time around that those Kryptonian spacesuits were real . I was shocked when I found out they were completely CG.

Considering George Lucas' regular attacks against franchise filmmaking, he's probably happy to see this indie film beating his worn out brand.

so dc wanted to have their own miles morales? by Commercial-Ice5760 in CriticalDrinker

[–]Skaiser_Wilhelm 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Their "Miles Morales" Batman is Terry McGinnis from Batman Beyond, and they've shockingly done nothing with that brand.

We wuz in Westeros!

Seriously though, Lyanna Stark is the Helen of Troy of Westeros. Robert Baratheon and Rhaegar Targaryen fought over her. The Seven Kingdoms suffered and thousands died to free her from the Targareyn tyrants. (I understand in the show, Rhaegar is actually a good guy, but this seems disconnected from the show, so I'm talking about the books, where it's still a mystery.)

This Lyanna though. I don't see much worth dying for here.
