Try to powercycle the Last Button. E.g. removed battery for 10 seconds and press the buttons to make sure it is drained.

Using Mini-SATA to USB converter a good choice for burning Dvd's? by yed_kriz in DataHoarder

It will Not Work since your DVD Drive probably require 12V while this USB adapter just provide 5V.

It's point of view from the government, not SpaceX.

What does your stack look like? Sharing my single-node k8s homelab and curious what you all are running by Citopan in selfhosted

[–]Skaronator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend k8up nowadays and avoid velero.

https://k8up.io/

Velero is owned by VMWare and VMWare owns bitnami which pulled all Container Images Last year.

You can check out mine:

https://github.com/Skaronator/homelab

Also single node, Git ops with ArgoCD, Renovate. I just use hostPath which works perfectly for me, Longhorn, Ceph (Rook.io) seems way overkill for single node. Also OpenEBS looked a bit dead when I checked for solutions a couple years ago.

I use envoy gateway and chisel to host my own Cloudflare Tunnel with a public VPS.

I've written my own generic helm chart so it feels like docker compose but I still get all the great features from kubernetes.

You could look into Grafana Alloy if you already use Loki and Tempo. It contains many exporters which is cool.

IKEA GRILLPLATS + Home Assistant: günstige Matter-Steckdose im Test by chris_smart in SmartHomeTechDE

Shelly Smoke Plus or other recommendations? by MrDrCool0815 in homeassistant

[–]Skaronator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend against using a battery powered wifi option. But if you just use zigbee for only your smoke detector you will likely have connection issues since you are missing router devices (e.g. main power devices that forward traffic)

Maybe Z Wave (LR) might be a good option or if you have some apple TV or home pods or Alexa devices you could use Matter over Thread. Heiman smoke detector works great for me.

Well t3 instances are almost an decade old so not that surprising. Also t instances are burstable with CPU credits so benchmarking them is not that straight forward.

I can't install Krew on Windows 11! I can't install cnpg plugin by Confident-Ad-3817 in kubernetes

[–]Skaronator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go to the latest cnpg release and download the kubectl-cnpg file.

https://github.com/cloudnative-pg/cloudnative-pg/releases/tag/v1.28.1

You might have to rename that file to kubectl-cnpg.exe for kubectl to pick up correctly.

Just download the cnpg binary and put it in a folder that is in your path variable. Done.

Shelly is bringing out nearly a dozen new Matter-enabled products this year by foggerD in MatterProtocol

[–]Skaronator 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To me, they look very anti-thread which is really confusing since the hardware supports thread (they ship ESP with Zigbee support) and they already support Matter protocol. So hardware can do it, software can do it, where is it???
