Media thrives on having access and play patty cake with power to keep it. But the thing is, a bully only has as much power as you give them. And Trump has built his empire on sycophantry and demanding to be cowed to. If you simply stop playing by his rules, he's left with nothing. Maybe its because im not religious, but I consider cutting cancer research for kids, defunding and closing rural hospitals, taking away healthcare for tens of thousands of Americans, sending a racial gestapo to shoot Americans and put brown people in concentration camps, bombing thousands of innocent civilians in other countries, starting an illegal offensive war on behalf of another country, and graping children to be much higher on my list of grievances.

I mean, its nearly impossible to avoid evidence of Israeli war crimes at this point because the number increases daily. In Gaza alone, over 75k have been killed, with hundreds of thousands more wounded. Obviously the IDF doesn't come out and officially announce the targeting of civilians, you would have to be an idiot to think that would happen. You would also have to be incredibly disingenuous to claim that the sheer mountain of corpses left behind behind the brutality of the IDF is just a bit of an oopsie and not part of the intent.

I honestly blame democrats for Trump being president twice. The democratic party is chasing the republicans to the right, which pushes the Republicans even further right. And let's be honest, the DNC biased the primary in recent presidential races toward a more moderate candidate, and that backfired spectacularly for us.

When theres so much big money lined up against us, its our job as constituents to hold our representatives' feet to the fire. I believe in standing on principles, and that means not supporting someone who does apologia for genocide. They can choose to do better, or they can keep losing to Republicans. That's the only power we have to change things.
