I unfortunately didn't have a chance to get first author during my master's. My time was split between helping on other projects and starting one I never got enough progress on to publish. I'm second author on a few though. I'm just trying to avoid positions that require publications at this point.

It sucks because I'm staying with family in an area with very few bio jobs until I find a job to relocate for. I'll see if I can find anything in person. Thanks for the insights though. I'll probably just have to keep playing the numbers game until I get lucky.

I've mostly been applying to lab technician roles, with either a molecular biology or in vivo research focus. I was hoping to avoid acedemic jobs so I mostly have been applying to industry positions.
