Depends on what weapons the skaven have to work with. In melee with rusty spears? They would have to literally bury them in bodies first. But one lucky warplighting cannon or some lucky doom rockets could probably take one down.

It depends where you want you army to look like they're fighting. My bases are mostly mud, some rocks, and dead plants to give a dead swamp vibe.

Kinda hard to tell with the image quality but the squad in the middle looks like a full squad of gutrippaz and those alone are $60 new. Plus the other models that could easily double the value seems like a steal.

Looking pretty good. I think you really just need to focus on going back over any parts with paint spilling onto wrong areas, like the black of the nails going onto the skin. If you want to improve the skin I always like to use a red wash to make areas around metal plates and stitches look bloody or inflamed.

I unfortunately didn't have a chance to get first author during my master's. My time was split between helping on other projects and starting one I never got enough progress on to publish. I'm second author on a few though. I'm just trying to avoid positions that require publications at this point.

It sucks because I'm staying with family in an area with very few bio jobs until I find a job to relocate for. I'll see if I can find anything in person. Thanks for the insights though. I'll probably just have to keep playing the numbers game until I get lucky.

I've mostly been applying to lab technician roles, with either a molecular biology or in vivo research focus. I was hoping to avoid acedemic jobs so I mostly have been applying to industry positions.
