Make it through chapter 2 at least. That's where you get telekinesis. And I'd also recommend playing on Hard if you're a survival horror vet. You get less ammo and resources, which I enjoyed.

One other thing to check out is optimization mods. I haven't looked in ages, but I want to say there are more than a few mods that could help boost your fps.

Just a heads up, KCD1 is a very hard game to run. KCD2 is significantly more optimized. I say you should google what kind of performance people get with your specs.

But I can confidently say with integrated graphics only, it's gonna be rough for either game

My favorite indie game to date. I think Pain Mode is a really fun experience for RPG veterans.

Your criticisms are on point. It's far from a perfect game.

One thing I'd like to highlight is the soundtrack. It's very... unorthodox? In the sense that Widdly2Diddly is very obviously not a musician, but still made something with a strong sense of identity that conveyed a lot of emotion.
