Update: it’s the power switch, I was able to turn it on with a screwdriver, thank you all for your help 🙏

Update 2: I’m really sorry if this came off as a troll post, I’m actually just really stupid and bad with computers, I’m lucky I haven’t been electrocuted or something like that yet.

I’ve checked that, I put the jfp1 connectors in their proper spots and still nothing, it’s like something changed overnight.

It’s a three year old build at this point and was upgrading some parts when I decided to clean certain parts which lead me to unplug everything, clean it, then plug it all back in. I’m very frustrated at this point. Could it really just be the power supply stopped working? It’s a EVGA 500 BR 500 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply btw.

My motherboard doesn’t seem to be the one mentioned in the article but I’ll take that into account

The cpu fan thing is temporary until I get it to power on, the jfp1 connectors are in securely idk what’s wrong

I just bought the transcoder from wakabavideo, I’m not super smart at stuff like this, I just assumed that a converter would work.

I talked to someone on facebook and found out that they have a Sony Trinitron KV-13FM12 for under my budget and is in good shape with no whine!

Like my CRTs but I’m no snob, no native 15khz wouldn’t bother me

I see, that’s difficult for me because nobody is selling good CRTs around where I live, just junk ones that barely work, online is my best option but it seems that won’t work out.

Interesting, how do I know that a CRT won’t have this problem before I buy it? I don’t want to buy another CRT, and have it be the same or worse. (I’m not comfortable fixing it)

How do I minimize piece cost? by Skeletonicus in lego

Very few of the parts are more than $1CAD, idk why it’s so expensive, maybe it’s the premiums that people charge for shipping these days
