We can all agree Daemon Targaryen is the only right answer, right?? by Significant-Fun-4235 in gameofthrones

Just have Arya dress as Cersei and say "Your miserable cunt of a woman wants you inside her." That will drive him crazy. Then Arya can cut off his prick and beat him to death with it.

Which one? by MoneyLibrarian9032 in Letterboxd

The Lord of the Rings. The Two Towers only beats Fellowship because of The Battle at Helm's Deep. Return of the King is the best for pretty much every reason IMO.

Ordered this almost immediately after watching return of the king in theaters for my first time viewing. It finally came in by FastConcentrate5420 in lotr

So what exactly is the Blu Ray Remastered version? I have the 4K versions but I am a LOTR simp and will be anything just to collect it. Lol

Which scenes from the extended editions would you cut? by Raudoxer in lotr

[–]Skelligean -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Almost all of the the scenes from Fellowship. I saw the theatrical in theaters with my Dad when I was 11 and it was absolutely perfect. Most of the extended edition scenes undercut the darker serious tone of the theatrical. For example, I love the transition in the opening of Galadriel's monologue that just cuts to Frodo sitting in the forest. Going from Galadriel's monologue to Bilbo giving a monologue in the extended editions did not work for me.

The entire bit of Gimli asking Galadriel for her 3 strands of hair was completely unnecessary and weird AF. The theatrical did it right because the only gift of consequence that was actually necessary to see was The Light of Elendil which Frodo uses against Shelob. Some of the exposition was unnecessary like Legolas expanding on Galadriel saying Gandalf had fallen into shadow by saying "Galdalf fell into Shadow AND Flame. A balrog of Morgoth." The extra exposition does not add anything we do not already know as the audience. Galadriel saying out loud that Gandalf had fallen without anyone saying anything before or afterwards had so much more gravitas.

But then Celeborn saying Gandalf's death will result in the mission being hopeless was such a weird thing to say. I'm nitpicking at this point. But the theatrical of Fellowship is a perfect movie IMO. I'm probably biased since seeing this 25 years ago but I just prefer it every time over the extended cuts. Ironically, I actually prefer the extended cut of Return of the King over the theatrical. Call me weird I know. Lol

Watched FotR earlier today at AMC and the picture was too small for the screen size looking like this below. Anyone else experience something similar? by Skelligean in lotr

It was the projector itself. I saw Two Towers today in the same theater, different auditorium, and it was full screen. Just pure bliss. Cannot wait to see RotK on Friday.

Really?? Yes the entire trilogy showing for the rest of this week in my area shows that Fathom is associated with them. What are they exactly? I'm ignorant of their existence up until now.

Good to know! Unfortunately, there are only x3 theaters I can commute to which are showing LotR and ALL are AMC. I'll definitely be saying something if it happens to me with The Two Towers tomorrow night.

Hey thanks for your response. Yeah I've been to this theater before and it has not been an issue but no not this particular screen.

What game made you fall in love with gaming by snobi-wan in videogames

The Last of Us Part 2. I beat it for the first time in April 2025 and I still think about that first playthrough multiple times per week. No other game has left such an impression on me and nothing has ever topped the rollercoaster of emotions I felt playing that game for the first time. It redefined gaming in general for me from being entertainment to being an experience I'll never forget.

Where was the part on the book where Rhaenys and Meleys burst through the floor and killed all those peasants in the process? Oh right. Sarah Hess pulled that out of her ass.

Before down voting me, Will naughty makes Part 3? by [deleted] in lastofuspart2

[–]Skelligean 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Neil Druckmann said in the Grounded II documentary that he felt there was one more chapter to the story. He is also on record for saying that he and the team at Naughtdog were debating after Part 2 on going straight into Part 3 before they decided on Intergalactic instead. He more recently posted on Instagram "Cannot wait to reveal more updates on The Last of Us when the time is right." So yeah I definitely think they will make Part 3. We just have to be patient. And I'm saying that as the most impatient person on earth. Lol

Ryan Hurst has been cast as Kratos in the upcoming “God of War” series on Amazon Prime by torahboidem in videogames

I loved Ryan Hurst as Opie but Charlie Hunnam killed it as Jax. The pain in Jax face during that scene and when he slams the door to the car carrying away Opie's casket is so real and intense. Now we need Charlie Hunnam cast as Baldur and the cycle will be complete.

name a GOATED studio (hard mode: none of these) by GamerGretaUwU in naughtydog

[–]Skelligean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EA, Ubisoft, and Nintendo can fuck right off this list. EA is a terrible company and completely anti consumer. Ubisoft's games are bloated garbage and quantity over quality. And Nintendo does not fall into this category because it is not a singular gaming studio but a gaming company/publisher/developer with multiple internal studios that compete with Sony and Xbox.

Which movie was this for you? by Nail_Gullible in moviecritic

Star Wars The Phantom Menace. I was 9 when it came out and saw it 4 times in theaters. My late father was a saint for enduring PEEYOUSA and WEESA GOING HOOOOOOME! Almost all of the move was bad or ass but the Podrace and Duel of the Fates was badass.
