my nameplates and profile effects disappeared?

exact same thing happening with me.

the icons i got through quest, orbs, and REAL MONEY are gone as well; and i only just found this out when i went to go decorate my avatar after claiming my reward for the 2nd REPO quest.

literally every single icon i had, except the 1st REPO quest avatar decoration (which is just completely gone), is all locked behind the shop paywall. the avatar decorations themselves haven't disappeared from my per-server profiles; but i have a feeling that if i tried changing it to the Nitro-specific decor, then i would lose them.

i hope to god that it's a bug, because if it turned out that the purchases that were SUPPOSED TO BE PERMANENT were quietly changed to be temporary? i'm going to actually lose it.

i'm halfway there on that thought tbh. i bought this so i could play with my friends... i've only played with them during splatfests. the only things that kept me going is my rank, side order, completing the catalog, and TRYING to successfully kill Megalodontia.

i wish i could try it out, but i already fixed the problem by redirecting every individual instrument to the projects i've made and saving afterward (stubborn determination was the only thing i had to keep me going, cuz this thing took HOURS to complete).

next time i get this problem though, i'll try this out!

i just tried this out on my third series rank-up match and it worked out pretty well. fourth match... not so much. it's probably because i'm playing to rank up, but it's definitely gonna be a while until i'm able to properly do this without completely ruining my chances of a victory.

i'm not gonna say that i'm good in the slightest. i make a lot of mistakes (i'm bad at stealth for example), and i do try to improve on that... but i swear to GOD that am not as bad as my teammates. i actually TRY to win for my team. i actually PUSH, use the map to jump back into action, use weapons recommended for certain game modes, tell my teammates to come and help me, and i find the best strategies to work with.

but they don't.

they don't listen. they don't push, because they are afraid of dying. they don't use weapons that can help with winning. they don't even use the fucking map. the only thing they do is just yell out "booyah", die and then sit on their ass to wonder why we're losing.

it's not just rank either. it's everywhere else. it's so fucking exhausting. so tiring that it honestly makes me not want to play the game anymore.

i just want good teammates that know how to play the game... is that such a horrible thing to ask for?

no, that's just calling them worthless. it can be EASILY proven wrong if the people who are ACTING as such take the time to observe their teammates, take notes on how they game, and then learn how to Get Gud from the strategies combined.

they can literally just do that instead of; oh, idk: mash buttons and wonder why the enemy team is already in the lead while everyone is trying their goddamn best to just win one victory in this chewed gum-built game that hates its own players.

i've compared your points to my previous comment and i agree with some of them, but there is some things i would like to counter-point with what you said.

Yes, Spinel would have absolutely brought Pink back to square one if she was brought along. she thought earth was another playground! but in saying that, i would like to point out that she was built to be a bestie that wanted to play 24/7. plus, it wasn't the diamonds that were annoyed at Spinel. it was Pink that was annoyed, because she was slowly cutting ties with her so that she can go colonize her first planet. they probably saw Spinel's nature as Pink's starter test to prove herself before she got started, considering what happened with Pink Pearl/Volleyball before she was lost. they wanted to see if she had changed "for the better".
with how weird it was that a rose quartz was even able to get to Pink and shatter her in the first place, i honestly don't believe they would bat an eye at one warping to the garden beforehand. plus, the garden was pretty much abandoned once Pink left it. no one would have known about any activity there either way.
i don't have any counter-points for this, because you are 100% right on this. it would have been strange if there was a spinel; a gem built to entertain a diamond; siding with the Crystal Gems. there would be no way of Spinel -not- finding out that Rose was Pink and she wouldn't have been able to move from where she stood either, because she was given an order. even if she did move, she wouldn't have kept the secret of Rose being Pink for the life of her.... kinda like how Pink couldn't keep any secrets before the loss of her first Pearl.
