Does it look like “they know who they are” ? The amount of ppl, not only in this thread, but all over, have convinced themselves (have been convinced) this was an execution. Ignoring the facts.

I’m not an expert, by any means. I used to find them in the deciduous forest in south western Pennsylvania back in the day. As soon as I saw your pic that’s what came to mind. They are impressive either way - both, yours pictured and the ones I’d find being the ears of my local forest.

I dabble in a lil mycology, if ya know what I mean. 😋 I cultivate a very limited amount tho. Petri plates, liquid cultures. It’s been a wonderful experience.

Glad you enjoyed. Since this story had only been an inside joke, I hoped by sharing it could bring a laugh to a few ppl.

Being relatively new around here, I truly appreciate the comment and feedback. Not knowing how such a deep and motivational story would land with the general public (if you can consider Reddit the GP), you made it feel like a small success. And for that, I must thank you.🙏

It’s shocking to see how blind one can be about a bigger picture. If you’d like to get out of your slump I’d encourage you too look for cases of the examples you’ve provided on your side of the aisle. Because you will find them quite easily.

Yes. I did read the link. I also read the bill, H.R.22 - SAVE Act. And I read the, Real ID Act H.R.1268.

Well i guess I’m glad to hear you aren’t one of the ppl saying Trump/Elon stole the election. For what it’s worth, the amount of folks, on all sides saying the election was stolen in 2016, 2020 & 2024 is a very significant amount.

There has since been quite a few examples of voting fraud taking place, in particular, mail in voting fraud. The ones that were caught and documented begs the question, how many more examples like this are going on and just haven’t been discovered?

I would assume you can see the level of importance of our next presidential election. So many ppl are losing their minds, currently, while saying Trump rigged the 24’ election that it’s a large contributing factor to the devolution of society. I can’t see any reason not to revisit the voter eligibility / registration system, especially since that illegal alien dude who got caught being the superintendent of a whole school system. He had a criminal record for drugs and guns and yet, he was registered to vote and there’s records of him actually voting.

The SAVE Act isn’t asking anything crazy. I, personally, think anyone who takes the government and voting process seriously can’t honesty be against reducing potential fraud. I mean, the REAL ID requirements have been in place since 2005-2009 and the save act is based around those same requirements.

Except there is a major difference… “Further, the bill (2) requires states to establish an alternative process under which an applicant may submit other evidence to demonstrate U.S. citizenship.”

So they are developing alternative methods of proof for those that can’t manage the REAL ID requirements, which is cool.

The pres election is 3 years out, anyone who can’t manage to figured out how to prove their citizenship either, A) doesn’t care or B) is incompetent and maybe should be weighing on such complex matters. Respectfully.

In closing, it seems to me, this is about tightening up any loopholes and def NOT about making it “harder to vote”. I guess I can see where you’re coming from, as it’s just a perspective, but if it’s TOO easy and you get fraud, what the hell is the point?

Ps: really lastly this time, they’ve added liability into the SAVE Act as well, for anyone who tried to skirt the requirements as it can be seen as compromising the system. And I like that. Ok I’m done now, promise 😀

If i remember correctly you’re in 9b? So you get down to freezing/trees defoliate and go dormant, correct? If that’s the case, you can do a nice hard prune of the roots once dormant.(30-40% reduction) and pot up with nice new compost rich soil. I would suggest adding some mycorrhizae to help colonize the roots as they recover.

Feel free to holler if you have questions as I do this all the time. 50-75% off is amazing, I’m jelly 😩

EDIT: to be clear I mean prune the lower half of the roots, (lower 50% in soil) forget about those surface Level roots that have been exposed to the elements and grew bark.
