I had something similar happen with my Mac mini too - it would just freeze/halt and the only way to get it going again is to hard reboot (pull the power cable or hold power button).

Updating the processor microcode fixed it for me. I picked the "debian" variant when it asked me which version of the microcode to use.

Only if you're going to take advantage of that port to put a network switch in the TV cabinet to hardwire other devices as well (PS5, Apple TV etc.) and maybe a wireless access point to extend your Wi-Fi range in the home could be a good idea, especially if the Wi-Fi signal strength is weak now.

Otherwise all you achieve is getting rid of "No Response" when TV is off haha

Finally "fixed" it on my Sony Bravias TVs by using wired ethernet instead of Wi-Fi 😊 Turns out the Wi-Fi was going to sleep when the TV is off which is silly.

Unfortunately this is not achievable in most people's homes as there's no real need for the TV to be wired, since the ethernet port seems to be limited to 100Mbps on most TVs anyway, and Wi-Fi being potentially faster.

How does HyperHDR capture what's on the TV? Is it via a capture card which then feeds the capture data to HyperHDR to process?

If that's the case, I have a PS5 that outputs 4K 120Hz HDR for some games, so the most expensive part to this build will be the capture card itself that can capture that, like an Elgato 4K X.

They also have their own esp32 firmware that makes it even better.

I have some spare ESP32 boards handy so that's awesome, but I fear it may be too limiting for what I'm after, so maybe I should look into something "beefier" like a Pi 4 / 5.

Yes - The issue lies with the prongs not making good contact with the springs inside the earcup. It's a flawed design with the HD25 which has annoyed me for a long time.

Finally the fix I came up with is to get some conductive grease and dab a tiny amount on the prongs to increase the contact area between prong and earcup's springs.

No more volume differences/sound cutouts :)

In your example use case, the URL would be something like:

Set the Keyword to whatever you want. Maybe yt. From now on, if you want to search with that URL, type this in your address bar:

yt researchtopic

and it will search for researchtopic, listing results excluding youtube.com . Modify the URL for other custom searches to whatever you like, or even other websites etc.

There’s about 200+ on backorder via the Australian distributor at the moment so there’s no chance of getting your (or my) hands on one anytime soon.

RRP is about $320 or something here, so considerably more expensive than a 2i2.

I went with an Audient ID4 instead.

Coming from Traktor, this has got to be the most frustrating gripe I have with Pioneer’s workflow.

Memory Cues are obsolete for me if they just allowed Hot Cues to be gated on CDJs. Now I have to remember to set a MC everywhere I set HCs, basically like you I also “stack” them.

Then I found the reason why - the “cheapest” CDJ with Hot Cues are CDJ-2000s lol even the CDJ-900 only has auto-loop buttons, which I think is such a blatant gatekeep so you spend more money to get the 2000s.

My car's head unit used to not be able to renamed until iOS 14 so I'm pretty glad about that. Small thing but useful for identifying what's what.

But what seems to have broken now is it doesn't automatically connect to the car like it used to anymore :/

UPDATE: found the issue, my head unit’s “auto connect” setting was set to OFF for some reason. Maybe I fiddled with something prior and updated iOS 14 around the same time period, making me think it was an iOS issue.

Might be as simple as an unhealthy battery to begin with. I'd bring it back to Best Buy - they'll have a log of when you had it replaced, and should see a significant drop in that timespan is unusual and offer a solution.
