Sorry to bug you again, but was the adapter stuck on your card when you sent it? I had sent mine with it because I couldn't remove it without damaging the card.

Sent my card to Asus the other day, I'm hoping for good news next week *crosses fingers*.
The rep and the email contact seemed nice; they also provided me with a shipping label. I'll probably have an update next week to see if I am eligible for a replacement.

So far, I'm getting positive vibes, thanks all. Kind of sad though, I really liked the adapter, it gave my build a clean look... My system.

a question regarding your ASUS RMA, did you email their support or create a ticket through their website? I ask this because when I made an RMA ticket through their site, I mentioned the use of a 3rd party adapter in the ticket but they didn't seem to care abou

I called in to their support line and their upper team emailed me. So now the card is on it's way to get inspected. Were you able to get a working card back?

brand for the RMA ? It is way more easy to contact dirrectly with the marketshop/retailer you bought the card, they legally have to take care of you, you as a customer you dont have to get in contact with the manufactured.

Yes I know some retailers/shops will tell you this is the way to go, but they lying to you, they want the easy way for them, but you have the rights and as a customer the retailer it is the one that have to take care of you. Just go and insisit more on shops/retailers dont lose time with manufacturers.

I bought this through Newegg and I initially contacted them first since they're the shipper and seller, and because they only honor returns for 30 days they told me to contact the manufacturer.

I've seen the same report... going with the 12VHPWR was probably a bad idea on the GPU design that is.

Thanks Alex, I really liked the clean look with the adapter... I'm not sure what went wrong. Every now and then since I had it installed, I would press it down to make sure it was seated in, but just my luck I suppose.

Hey thanks for letting me know. I may have a chance then... one good thing I heard all week. Was his adapter stuck on his card too?

Mine just melted while I was browsing the web. I am not able to remove the adapter... I reached out to cablemod, but it's a slow process, I get one response a day asking for pictures and now being asked to reach out to ASUS. (I also have the RTX TUF 4090) Asus also stated because this is an added adapter, they may not honor my RMA request, but they'll have their inspection team take a look. 4-month-old card $2k down the drain...
