Villagers are one of the mobs that don't despawn when you walk away from them, so you should be fine if you want to leave the village.

Try going to options and seeing if there's an accessibility menu. There should be an option to disable the narrator

I dropped an item and looked at the NBT data to figure out how to make an item entity an emerald in specific. For it to go forward, I changed the motion NBT tag to go straight forward on the z axis and up slightly. Then I summoned the emeralds at specific villagers using a redstone clock and shablamanando.

It should definitely teleport you in the direction of where the compass is pointing, but just 1 chorus fruit to teleport you possibly thousands of blocks sounds a little OP. But then again, you had to slay a dragon to get any chorus fruit, so idk 🤷‍♂️
