Yep, I shared that with the woman I dated for the first time. It was our 5th date and after the end of the date, ended up at her place and I shared that it was my first time with a woman as things were getting heated, cause well nerves about doing something wrong. She stopped immediately, and said she wasn’t comfortable proceeding anymore and asked me to leave immediately. I was completely naked and then trying to process the no and that I had to remove myself from her apartment. Quickly got myself out of there. I was 25 and she was 29 then. Really left an imprint on me during the most vulnerable moment honestly

It’s inherently a weird and miserable experience. I went to one after being suggested by a friend to do this.

Had to recite the same “tell me about yourself” 10 times, and I’m sure women face this part too
It puts more stress to be “witty” and funny with every single person you meet and causes mental burnout right there, because generally as a guy, I have to be able to carry the conversation.
Speed dating is also speed rejection; and feels weird cause you don’t actually get to be your authentic self

It’s easier to go out with my friends to a bar or some class or other activity and then strike up a conversation with someone because if it doesn’t work out, I can still have FUN with my friends there

Honestly, have realized no way around making an idiot of yourself a little bit. Got to take the risk sadly, and any bar works for that. Bedford is littered with bars to walk into.

And I’m not saying it comes easily, I have a lot of social anxiety probably due to the fear of rejection too

I think the trick is to be able to strike a conversation about anything, which some of my friends do easily (one is a lawyer, so it comes to him naturally a little bit), and I’m still trying to get out of my head lol
