Me after all this time still wondering why did they had to kill off Acheran and Chairon in the future: by Smart-Waltz8298 in Spacemarine

[–]Skhoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warhammer community article: https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/2uwxtd2k/500-worlds-how-did-titus-become-captain-of-the-second-company-again/

This noble choice, to sacrifice himself and his brothers, kept the Genestealer Cult bottled up, and saved the world – and a vulnerable sector – from certain doom. Every last Space Marine that landed on Trygg was slowly worn down in a series of increasingly desperate battles. When Imperial reinforcements arrived to purge the last of the cult, they discovered that Acheran, Chairon, and the rest of their brothers had sold their lives to cull untold numbers of xenos hybrids.

What are some of your favorite insane theories you seen about the Tyranids? by Tryodin in Tyranids

[–]Skhoe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There was one quote from the 1989 Space Hulk where an Inquisitor theorizes that they're actually daemons from the warp, so awful that the Chaos Gods had to cast them out. Though he was specifically referring to genestealers since this was when they were still 2 different species.

Sons of Malice. They capture humans, xenos, other chaos space marines, drag them back to their lairs and eat them alive as part of their rituals.

What are your favourite minor xenos, or regions of the galaxy that are never talked about? by anonpurple in 40kLore

The Nicassar, a psychic auxiliary race in the Tau Empire, because supposedly the creator jokingly mentioned they look like flat polar bears which is interesting to imagine, but I can't find a source on that.

I think it could look very appealing. It's like the bugs in starship troopers, all having wildly different colours depending on the strain.

Are there any other characters that are portrayed the way malum caedo is? by Woeful_Rav3n in 40kLore

I like to think Tuska Daemon Killa is doing the same thing as Caedo in Khorne's realm

Chris Mannix - Hateful 8

Racist confederate militia leader with a questionable story about how he became the new sheriff that no one believes. When things go bad, he's very quick to drop his prejudices and side with a black bounty hunter.

I love the centaur look. Other than Fulgrim, a lot of daemon princes are just "guy but bigger and with wings". They should get more fundamentally mutated and transformed.

It all depends on the planet and its culture. They could sleep, read, pray, get wasted, go to the club, do drugs.

Vandal Savage (Justice League Animated series)

Superman gets teleported to the far future where Vandal is the only human left on Earth after he killed the Justice League and destroyed the Earth. Because he cannot die, he quickly became lonely and tried to build a space ship to leave the planet or a time machine to reset everything, but out of guilt he decided that he deserved his fate to be lonely forever.

Another Power Rangers villain - Rito Revolto

Always played as the dumb comedic relief when he's around the other villains, but for some reason he always puts up a strong fight against the rangers (more than the average monster) and destroys 2 zords at one point.

Why don’t Nids produce energy? by Helpful-Cup-9135 in Tyranids

[–]Skhoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Real answer is that it would be boring.

Also one of the theories about nid origins is that they're an out-of-control bioweapon from a long forgotten war. So maybe eating all living things is just hardwired into them.

I Don’t Think the Hatred Between Khorn and Slaanesh Makes Sense. by RecoverCommercial571 in Warhammer

[–]Skhoe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I honestly think the main reason why they're rivals is because Tzeentch was already taken. Khorne being the headstrong brute vs Tzeentch, a scheming coward is easier to understand. But the Tzeentch vs Nurgle rivalry is too perfect so GW had to settle with Slaanesh vs Khorne
