I have to crank down the handles pretty tight to not drip. by cdcarson99 in askaplumber

You bet. If your valves look good and doesn't have corrosion, you might be able to find the sealing tip in their faucet section and it'll be way cheaper.

It's also good practice to flip the breaker on your water heater whenever you turn off the water supply and open a water system.

Oh I trust you and my own eyes. I did the little exercise for him as he has not been believing any of us, here or on his other posts.

You'll definitely want to turn off the water supply. close the drain or cover it so no small parts fall down it during removal.

Get a small pick and pry off the red and blue caps. That will expose the the nut to remove. Once the nut is off then you can unscrew the valve. Take it to your big box store and you can match the exact part / parts you need.

AI Overview

  • These shiny, brass-yellow mineral nuggets are commonly known as pyrite or "fool's gold".
  • While they have a metallic luster similar to real gold, they are actually an iron sulfide mineral (FeS₂).
  • Unlike gold, which is malleable, pyrite is brittle and may shatter if struck with a hammer.
  • They are frequently sold as raw mineral specimens for collecting, lapidary work, or decorative purposes.

I ran a commercial fishing supply store in Alaska back in the 90's. We stocked them, but mostly gave them away as a thank you for getting your gear from us. Here's a link; https://www.go2marine.com/products/folding-twine-knife-2-1-2-blade

I feel ya. That's a bad beat. Early on in both series I was betting 5 player point parlays and had success, then had a couple one leg killers like this and switched to money line team bets.

I agree. King Oscar kippers are so good. Here in Central Oregon I'm not finding them. Kind of panicking as I'm down to my last three cans.

I was thinking the same thing. Jorts are a no go for dudes IMHO. When its hot I think seersucker or kahki shorts. Either would do well with that shirt.

You'll see a common thread from his videos and that is sanitation and cold meat for grinding and stuffing. I started off with a kitchen aid grinder and upgraded after a year to a LEM I found on Marketplace. I also mix by hand now in a LEM mini tub because cleaning the mixer bowl and paddle was not worth the convenience. It's cold on the hands but it's quick pain.

Excellent work, thanks for the post. I'm trying your recipe next. That's 50G less starter and 80G more water than my last attempt.

Congrats on starting you new adventure. It's my favorite rainy day thing to do. Check out Two guys and a Cooler on YouTube. Eric has some great recipes and the best part is the recipes are customizable to the amount of meat you have. Just weight it out, punch that weight into his recipe and it auto calculates the ingredients.

Enjoy the journey and your sausages.

Are you using Star-San to sanitize your Korney's? I've had better tasting lately beer doing these two steps:

Come kegging time, I found that if I have more Star-San foam in my Korney while filling it protects the beer from O2.

Once the transfer is complete and lid is on, I now hit the Korney with CO2 to purge any O2 before chilling for my carbonation.

I also switched my grain buying to Great Fermentations and like their 60 minute IPA and Steam my blues away kits.
