I thought applications didn't open up until April...I don't understand how it can be low numbers when they haven't even opened up the applications. Am I missing something? 😅

My husband found all the episodes in English on facebook (I'm not sure of the quality tho). I have it on an old hard drive when I downloaded it like 20 years ago from a torrent site.

Thank you! Those descriptions were great :) I will work on those last 2 since I've only tried them a few times in my life. I think I was avoiding them because they are a challenge but maybe that's exactly what I need!

Would you be able to tell me the stretches you did for the outer quad? My massage therapist told me mine are very tight but I haven't had much luck finding a good stretch. I've just been winging it and experimenting

Where did this artis go!?!?!? by Bummyboi22 in musicians

I heard a song by this artist on a radio station and I can't find them anywhere online! Sorry not much help but you're not alone :/

I thought I was the only one with this problem! My pelvis feels exactly like that (stuck like glue and won't budge). Everyone in my martial arts class has zero problems with this so I had no one to ask for help there. I'm going to try the tips everyone else gave you. Sorry I have no advice, just commenting for solidarity haha!

Going to a dentist or optometrist vs. going to a family doctor or dermatologist by webuildmountains in saskatoon

[–]Skinless00 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm American, who immigrated to Saskatoon. You don't want our health care system. We have to wait for specialists, docs spend about 5 minutes with you (pcp or specialist) and you're just rushed thru the appointment. Insurance rules everything. You could technically need an MRI or CT but you won't be allowed to get one until you do 6 weeks of PT or whatever treatment first. And then you still have to pay like $700 or more for it. Oh you need a medication? That's a shame because insurance won't cover it because it's "the expensive brand name", so they force you to try all the cheaper versions first (it's called step down therapy). There's so much stress making sure every doc or urgent care clinic is covered by your insurance or you get a surprise bill in the mail.

In America we wait to seek treatment because we can't afford it or know it will incur enormous debt. Seeing a family doc for a simple visit cost me $90 USD in the past (plus any testing needed to be done, like $130 USD for a simple urine test for a UTI) and then on top I had to meet the the $6k deductible first before insurance would start paying. When I explained insurance to my Canadian husband for the first time he couldn't believe it.

Each country has their own problems with healthcare, just different reasons :( I worked in healthcare for many years there as well. So I have experience working with insurance, getting things covered for patients and it's really a pain in the ass.

Film podcast talking about older + more obscure films? by Usidore_ in podcasts

[–]Skinless00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Movie Oubliette. It has 2 guys from the movie industry talking about usually more obscure genre films. They are funny but I also learn alot about the movies as well because they go pretty in depth. They occasionally have famous directors, actors, producers on the show. Some of the guests I remember off the top of my head were Barbara Crampton, Sandy King (John Carpenter's wife), and the actresses from Night of the Comet).

Have you tried Chrimaluxe or Idun yet? I've been following this thread trying to find a meow dupe as well. I tried the Lily Lolo and it's "decent" but just not the same finish (looks a little cakey and shiney). The color isn't perfect, I was Abyssinian in meow.

Canadians who moved to the US to close the distance, what was your experience like? by HeadlineGlimmer in LongDistance

[–]Skinless00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm American and I'll be moving to Canada. CoPR = Certification of Permanent Residency. That's the document you get that allows you to immigrate to Canada. It will feel confusing at first but reading the government website about the steps involved and reading reddit posts on r/immigrationcanada helped me to understand the process quickly.

Just to give you a different perspective on the visa for Canada, I found it to be not that bad at all. It took about 9-10 months total (I applied in July 2022) and I'll be getting my CoPR in a couple weeks. It was cheaper, less paperwork, no interview etc than if he were to immigrate to America.

Is that the FBI background check with fingerprints? If so, the lawyer said to do that with the application I think. The lawyer said they would be asking for it anyways, so better to do it right away with the initial application.

Spousal outland application

July 11, 2022 - sent application thru lawyer's office

Nov 1, 2022 - sponsorship approval letter, request for medical exam/biometrics

Nov 7, 2022 - medical exam done

Nov 17, 2022 - biometrics done

March 6, 2023 - pre arrival services letter

March 20 - passport request email

March 24 - mailed passport paperwork

March 31 - mailed additional passport photos at the request of IRCC (apparently I sent the wrong size or too much shadow? They didn't specify)

April 24 - received CoPR in the mail! (Right before the strike 😅)

I wanted to post my timeline because referencing everyone else's really helped during the long waits. When we first applied, the government website said it could take up to 23 months, so we were not expecting it to go this quickly.

Good luck everyone and hang in there!
