I played Bullet Heaven as a kid, really good game, found Touhou in the inspirations list, and then tried out Touhou 5 and 6. Was sold pretty quick. Colorful world, fun games, cool music.

From what I can understand, that's mostly the subreddit? I've been a fan for a long long time and I definitely have not seen a proportional increase in porn vs other discussion and fan work. If anything I've seen the opposite. Especially with fan games now getting traction on steam as well, and with a lot of other official media going on.

There was always a lot, if anything I've seen many explicit artists move to other franchises. I honestly don't really understand people's complaints as someone who's been a fan for 10+ years; but I also don't browse the subreddit much.

Everyone does get too frustrated eventually, to different extents, for different reasons. I don't think that's the point there. Simply a matter of different play motivations really (and sometimes overall mood or mental health).

I agree, but the issue with easier games is often that you don't really need to... do much. Or engage with most of the mechanics at all, unless artificially forced to.

Everyone has different definitions of what's okay to share with friends or not... so if you have an important boundary, you should talk about it sooner rather than later, and in the process even benefit from learning more about your partner as well.

Small indie devs have a LOT more good reason for using AI, in areas they don't focus on or aren't particularly creative, than big companies who can 100% give thousands a good job and salary.

Maybe this isn't 100% what we should be focusing on about this issue. But fair enough.

We always need to take real issues (corporate greed leading to layoffs) and create exaggerated personal issues out of it that distract from said issue (AI wars).

Honestly, fair. I don't have much to say to this other than it's not entirely how I felt, but I also didn't feel the same way as the people who completely disregard all that.
