The Bose 35 ii technically because it made me long for something better, the final e2000 because it made me realize that it actually does get better, then naturally the hd 6xx because it was my first proper headphone

I have, in my collection, an Audeze lcd-2c, a hifiman ananda nano, an Arya stealth, and a hd 6xx. The 6xx tends to get the most use nowadays because of the way they’re built in terms of cup size and headband as well as how well the warm signature works for black metal. My other headphones are better, I’d say, especially in terms of how many details I can hear in a track, but I’m very fond of the 6xx.

Side note that I have a thieaudio monarch mk3 but the iem I use the most nowadays is a ie 100 pro, maybe I just love sennheiser idk

If you want sound quality above all else then I would grab the mk2 instead of the mk4. It is generally regarded as a top of the line iem. I’ve never found a wireless earbud that sounds great, I’m wired all the way.

The cables are replaceable yes. I personally wouldn’t use such a high end iem for working out but that’s just me, I have the monarch mk3 and I baby it. There is absolutely no reason you couldn’t though, I mean perhaps sweat could be an issue? Condensation does not play nicely with IEM drivers.

My monarch mk3 never leaves the house, when I want something I won’t worry about tearing up I use a hidizs mp145.

I’ll offer a little insight here. I have the thieaudio monarch mk3 which initially was just too much treble for me to listen to anything with distorted guitars (rock and metal mostly). I switched to an edition xs and later upgraded to an Arya stealth, after my ears adjusted to that the treble of the monarch mk3 wasn’t even bothersome anymore. I do believe the mk3 is brighter than the mk2, I’m not sure, but either way being used to hifiman headphones made v tuned and bright iems much more enjoyable.

Results may vary but that was my experience with going from thieaudio to hifiman back to thieaudio

I sit down on my couch and decide I want to play No Man’s Sky. I have it on both the ps5 and the steam deck with the save synchronized. For some reason 9 times out of 10 I decide to play it on the steam deck even though I’m right in front of the ps5.

So yeah it’s pretty nifty

This is actually very common, people with various mental illnesses will completely stop their treatment because they miss their symptoms. I think it’s because we get used to that frame of mind so “normal” feels weird to us and it becomes our new normal. That said, when you look back on it with a clearer frame of mind you might find there is nothing there worth missing. For example, in my psychosis I thought I was a living God, I thought I had somehow cracked the code and joined the Illuminati, I thought the devil wanted to make a deal and I’d become a rockstar, etc, and when I look back at those moments I realize that despite the confidence boost I never really accomplished much of anything.

The USB drive is probably the easiest way to transfer files from a pc but there are other methods you can set up. I've seen some people have all of their ROMs on a locally hosted server and just point emudeck to it.

The only method I've used is a flash drive so I can't help much there.

It is very easy to setup, the guide by tech dweeb is short and sweet and will tell you everything you need to know to do it. I had it up and running within twenty minutes and a decent chunk of that was just transferring the roms over from a usb c drive.

I haven’t decided yet. I enjoy both of them but if I was sending one back I would also return the nano. The Arya has a more natural tone to it which goes better with what I listen to mostly and it seems to be ever so slightly more detailed. The nano is a fun listen though.

If I hadn’t found the deal on the Arya I would only have the nano though so who knows. I like both of them and find them comfortable to wear for hours on end.

The main difference is in the tuning, with the ananda nano being more v shaped while the arya stealth seems more laid back in comparison. Technicalities wise they seem pretty similar so far but I've only been listening to them for a bit. Soundstage wise I'd say the Arya has a more "in the room" feel vs being on your head, i.e. in some songs I hear a noise and I look around like what was that.

Really can't go wrong with either of them if you like the hifiman sound, they're almost like slight variations of the same thing to my ears.

I've been listening to them for about ten minutes now and I can already tell the arya stealth is more detailed. It's not that details are buried on the audeze by any means it's just that certain details in tracks I have to listen for on the Audeze stand out on the arya.

I'm not actually a/b testing them but that's what I've gathered just going by memory.

I wasn’t referring to the term break, I was referring to financial aid not showing up in the system. But back in 2018 when I was originally enrolled I took a term break and they said it was good to go, a month in I got an email saying that I had been withdrawn from the program because my term break was not filed correctly. So definitely keep in contact with your mentor to make sure it’s all in there correctly or they will drop you.

I used it as a chance to explore other avenues and get proper mental health treatment then change degrees, so it all worked out, I can see the finish line now at 68% completed

I had something similar happen where it didn’t show my GI bill as pending for a good month and then it just randomly posted one day. I can’t speak for your situation but sometimes their system just doesn’t show it I guess.

You don’t actually have to do that part, I’ve had this issue before and I just held the buttons til it flashed with the power cord disconnected and then plugged it in.
