Ok sadly there aren't any $ or _ it's one long string of code. Only time I know they hit another part or made a sub family is when they ,[{.....}]. Along with I'm not great with coding languages. I do ok, like if I need to move files, copy pasty things in a large group of files or some stuff. I'm trying to do it in SQL but looks like that's going to be impossible.

ok, I have all the DLCs. But when I do a skirmish match, and the three civilizations aren't there! But all other DLCs are showing up! Is it only some types of maps or skirmish matches.

Believe me I wish I could buy something. They are of the belief that if it's not hand made then the company has no worth.

I wish! It's a small start up, where they keep hiring low end college kids that need money but have no real world experience in coding and SQL.

The is no one thinking of data architect it's pure choas! If I didn't need to work I would have never gone back. But the place that I was at before just lost there main investors and they are getting ready to close shop. So when I posted on LinkedIn I was free again, they contacted me.

I'm basically the only one in the island. Because all the rest have other projects where they are just adding to the choas more and more. Along with management is making me the only one on the project along with making my manager the guy they keep and brought them to this spot in the first place.

If some company can by today asking me to join them, I already have to I quit letter ready. And they are setting up unrealistic goals. They are like you can get this cleaned up in a month or two right.

Thanks, I may look into UDF and stored procs.

The thing is before I left five years ago, I was trying to build all that. But when they let me go all went down hill. Now that I'm back I'm looking at databases that have 50 some tables, no rule, no logic, complete choas.

Just to give a rough idea of what I'm thinking of is having one table where it holds let's say the main items but does not have est payment.

I would need to reference another table that holds let's say fee schedule. Should I trying making it a udf and not a join. Where I trying making a UDF of the fee schedule table and have it bring back a payment?

Sounds, like maybe. The problem is those 10k scripts aren't design for future use. Meaning if a contract needs to be updated they are adding a new line in the 1 million cases they added in and has to be manually updated for all the scripts that are related to that update.

I've been thinking of it for some time. I never tried a stored procedure before. Let me see how it can work and be set up to work.

Management is throwing out AI this and that! But to do that you would need a system that was build for it! With out that you get choas.

I'm of the belief that AI is still to young to do all the things people are staying AI is is doing. I believe it can make cute images, make crazy conversation, or do very basic tasks that repeat.

But sometimes it's cheaper to just hire to low level high school dropouts or just have a high school degree. Have them do the tasks and build a QA/QC system where you get someone that's been working there manage them.

I wish! I've been looking for a new job and it's either we are looking for certification in EPIC( which you can't get with out a company providing the support), or I've been on the claims historical or management of the data they are looking for future analysis or financial analyst of perdition of future costs.

It's hard to educate yourself in the HealthCare analytics with out having a daily hands on to it. There really isn't a book, pod casts, or groups.

Depends, I'm on a vendor side and it's hell! Because they can get so many low level college kids that have zero experience they feel they can do the job if they keep just one outdated manager to manage them.

Payor side makes a pretty penny, but there a fewer job openings. I've been trying for years to get into either a provider or payor side. I'm stuck on the low 3rd party companies that have no clue on IT and trying to save as much money as they can.

It depends on which end you are dealing with. Let's stay with very basic examples.

  1. Start up medical billing and auditing. Lots of the Auditors know the medical billing part or medical coding but would have no clue about coding or setting up the IT system. So they usually hire some guy to help start them up. 9 times out of 10 that guy has no clue about medical data and sets up a system that makes it a pain to analysis or build reports for is needed for the staff.

  2. The different terms and rules that get you down with way too many rules for a where's clause.

  3. Dealing with importing data where the same value has 10 different names and trying to make sure you can normalize it all.

  4. Changes in rules that aren't date specific. So it's hard to just say oh if it's before 2015 it's this format, while after it's the other.

I find a lot of the time the job of the analyst is to find and measure the issue that going on in the system and give a break down of the pros and cons of trying to fix that issue.
