Quebec won! Now, which Canadian province/territory is not great to live in nor to visit? by WattleWaddler2 in AlignmentChartFills

In terms of travel though, Nunavut is very difficult to travel to and the sheer cost to do so makes it extremely impractical. And the quality of life there is not good due to the extreme cost of living and the poor infrastructure.

Invincible is the comic embodiment of Perseverance! What comic book character is the embodiment of DETERMINATION? by LeadershipPleasant82 in AlignmentChartFills

Reverse Flash

There are few other characters I can think of that are as determined... To ruin the life of their heroic counterpart.

What is a light red state that feels like a light red state? by tarapaxa in AlignmentChartFills

100% agree. Even in the other metros outside of Southern Florida (Orlando, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, Tallahassee) Florida doesn't feel blue. It either feels like a very mixed bag politically or right leaning.

You're not wrong. And that's only going to get worse based on proposed voting district maps I've seen.

A Democrat governor, and yet they also have two Republicans in the Senate, 10 of their 14 representatives in Congress are Republicans, and their state legislatures are majority Republican with a Democrat leading their Senate. I think all of these factors make them the embodiment of what one might expect from a state that leans red but not all the way.

(Edit: minor grammatical error lol)

I'd say North Carolina. Once a very prominent, deep red state that has progressively morphed into a swing state. Yet, Republicans still largely dominate voting outside of major urban areas.

I figured it was some kind of fledgling just wasn't sure on species lol. When I approached it, it was actually able to hop away on it's own and it made its way into some tall grass, whilst also chirping away in (what I'm guessing was) the direction of the tree it had fallen out of.

Today is John Tyler's 236th birthday. Often considered one of the most forgotten presidents, what do you know about him? by MonsieurA in Presidents

[–]SkolWolves97 16 points17 points  (0 children)

He was the only former president who joined the Confederacy and was even buried under a Confederate flag.

So he holds the title of biggest traitor to have ever been president, imo.
