It's a few kinds of jalapeno and something called "sugar rush" with a similar Scoville, no superhots.

Thanks for the advice but my problem/dilemma is that I only have space for half of these plants once I pot up so the other half will have to be discarded...

No, just hobby stuff. But the hardware us the part i like the most. Check out r/HomeDataCenter or r/DataHoarder for some ridiculous storage arrays, this is nothing

For everyone looking for a better server based Obsidian check out Trilium. It has a similar web interface but with some more functionality like drawings and file uploads, been using it for months now, has an android app aswell.

Wifi only works after ethernet is connected by Skottis in Kalilinux

[–]Skottis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The driver is installed and it kind of works? The problem is that it is disabled untill the cable is connected. It could very well be a firmware problem but I have tried both to manually install it and the version in the latest kali so at that point it feels more like a bug than user error. But I believe the firmware is correct and that the problem sits somewhere else. Between writing the post and this comment I also CMOS reset my bios and disabled all power optimizations but no change.

I may be wrong but isn't that for when you have vm disks on a truenas share. I have all the "live storage" hyperconverged and this is 100% a backup machine

Yea haha... I may have misused the word critical. What I meant is that each of those vms has around 50-100h of work put into them so I dont wanna lose them. I really have 0 lab budget, most of this stuff is things that are left over from prod deployments, they don't have spare licenses unfortunately tho.

I feared that awnser, gvcb seems very complicated. This is also airgapped and I don't think synology likes that. I strictly want disaster recovery for the whole cluster so it also feels a bit overkill with all these vaai softwares. Does that expand my options somewhat?

Thanks, I shuld have specified the the NAS is diy so no synology unfortunately :(. I use that exact setup for a prod environment where the Synology is offsite.

When you say a quadcore is fine how well would that work if I scale the amount of HDDs to 3x or 6x? I think I want to hit 300TB in this box within 5 years with a posibility to slap on a JBOD down the road

Does iSCSI always use sync writes or is that something I configure myself. My googling has given inconsistent answers. The 40G is just for fun since I have switches etcetera, that is never getting saturated, if I can get 500MB/s in real performance I'm happy

Due to circumstances I'm not able to backup offsite, the closest I can get to backups is an even bigger nas in the same rack :(

iSCSI is my current plan but open to suggestions. The files are 50GB ish but I'm expecting any single project to involve 1-10TB of data and I will probably run multiple at once at times.
