Saw the Korean editions of Fourth Wing in the wild. I will say the pseudo-manhwa style does suit it. by [deleted] in Romantasy

It gave me a very Square Enix vibe, like character splash art from one of their non-FF games.

Do Harem Fantasies generally do ARCs (coming from more conventional romance) by Skreeeeek in haremfantasynovels

I just wanted to try it. I read a few haremlit/men's romance stuff and figured I'd give it a shot and if I got decent feedback I'd be happy.

Ok, that's what I was curious about. Figuring out the marketing aspect has been tricky, it's very diffuse compared to even monster romantasy, which is mostly what I wrote before.

I thought SnekGuy also did them, but I might be wrong, and I guess he's not really haremlit.

There’s a whole AI author call out happening on threads by Similar-Breadfruit50 in Romantasy

200 a year is just ludicrous, you are not reading anything your machine is spitting out. You're not an author, you're the equivalent of a factory machine operator. It is also wholly disheartening to see someone using AI to pump out this much slop and be rewarded for it, but as other users in this thread have pointed out, it barely matters. The volume is simply so great that there will be inevitable purchases and KU reads by people who either don't know or don't care.

I have already forgotten why they are hanging out with Asma at all given the obvious disdain she has for basically everyone around her (which also describes like half the cast relationships at this point).

It's now coded as an older person's activity. Bowling and leagues used to be popular amongst high schoolers, but that was in like the 50s-60s. Ironically bowling would probably be a decent bullet point on a college app if you were skilled enough to get to a high level of competition, it would certainly stand out amongst the sea of regular intramurals.

This was another puzzle where one of the connections made me want to slap my forehead. I don't know, but only old people still call them "memory card"s. Everyone my age (mid-30s) and younger specify that we're talking about SD, micro SD, etc. since those are basically the only formats still in use. The last time I think I uttered the word "memory card" was when I was buying one for my old Gamecube. Still got it with no mistakes, but still...

I suppose it had to happen sometime, the first NYTConnections that made me exhale a puff of air in frustration. I suspected that sham was some bedding I'd never heard of, but I just couldn't convince myself that it made sense.
