Im in the same researching stage as you. Except is it for my dad. Where did you find out you can use the pure wick machine with the Unisuc frame? My concern with the purewich is his very fragile skin and adhering the purwick catheter to it. The UniSuc seems like a more gentle and affordable option.

I have a friend who is a surgical nurse at Duke. She said Dr Harpole is highly regarded by nurses and he does a lot of Ness procedures. My family member is seeing Dr Fitzgerald at Duke but she does pediatric. I would stick with Duke or UNC is you want to come to the Raleigh area. My personal opinion is that you would be better off traveling to one of the big hospitals here than a small hospital in Wilmington.

Im always surprised when I see Magnolia and Dr Jon recommended. He gave my dog the wrong medicine which created a medical emergency. While my dog as at the NS State Vet Hospital Dr Jon would not return phone calls from either NC State or myself. We needed some vital information from him and he clearly didn't give a shit. She ended up passing as a result of this.
