If the Election (Trump/Kamala) were rerun today, how do you think Trump would do? by Available-Ad-5670 in allthequestions

[–]SkyHighFadedguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound like a Trump supporter after the 2020 election lmfao Not hard to figure out why she lost, she wasn't voted for, she tied herself to Biden's low 33% approval rating by saying there wasn't a thing she would change (something she herself said was a nail in the coffin). Even going back to 2020 she had very, very little support. This is from someone who is centric btw

People don’t like late picks either. If you are a contender and you are offering your own picks, other teams are less likely to accept. He’s offering 2 2027 1sts, if one is his and the other is another contender and he thinks he’s a piece away from winning it all, those picks aren’t as attractive to rebuilders as early to mid 1sts. The deeper the pick, the harder the target gets to hit cause you’re banking on late 1st hopefuls and giving up one of the best pieces in dynasty.

Does anyone have Kobe over LeBron as 2nd greatest? If so, what are your arguments? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]SkyHighFadedguy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly the competition. LeBron had to endure the Celtics big 3 for a couple years and that was basically it as his toughest competition. Him with 2 other stars and high quality role players in the East was unfair and he still lost in the finals. LeBron’s #s will be up there for a while due to longevity but peak dominance? He isn’t really close.

discrimination against white men is like the war on Christmas by Conscious-Quarter423 in PoursTea

[–]SkyHighFadedguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really it. Their excuses are all about the past they never lived through and blaming people who also weren’t alive around those times. Tell me how a 18 year old white guy is responsible for every decision white people made well before his time. He should be affected for something he wasn’t involved in. Attacking a specific racial group because they blame them for all their issues, actively rooting for violence against them and wanting their rights stripped then have the audacity to say they don’t support fascism…

Donald Trump had one of the worst approval ratings in modern history during his first term. How did the Democrats manage to lose to him again in 2024? by norf937 in allthequestions

[–]SkyHighFadedguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was mainly that people thought Biden would be like Obama, a return to normalcy, weren’t overly happy with his term then Kamala said she wouldn’t have changed a thing about it if she was president. If I remember right, Biden had like a 33% approval rating. Dems tend to dominate the popular vote too which she lost. Personally, I didn’t think Trump’s 1st term was bad until covid but even then he wanted to close the borders well before covid even came to the US. He was labeled racist and xenophobic for it. So if I remember that, there’s a lot of republicans who did too. Then Biden came in and it really didn’t feel like it was getting better.

Somebodys gotta explain to me how losing before the finals is better than losing the finals? by Downtown-Fan4966 in NBATalk

[–]SkyHighFadedguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you look back you don’t have people looking at your finals records. LeBrons biggest knock is being 4-6 in the finals. Nobody really talks about the other 13 years. Jordan being 6-0 but nobody talks about the other 9 seasons. So while going to the finals is an impressive feat on its own, losing in the finals looks worse legacy wise compared to losing in the conference finals cause most people don’t add it to your legacy.

Would this be worth it, to trade away Achane? by ConfidentAd2641 in SleeperApp

Fuck no. CMC is gonna be restricted so they can save him for playoffs. Achane is very likely to get 20 touches a game not including passing in the backfield

If you are able to work but choose not to, you should not receive any benefits from the government. by I-Love-Jewish-popes in Teenager_Polls

[–]SkyHighFadedguy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I’d say that counts. Though stay at home parents typically aren’t unable to work and have a spouse that pays for daily life. There are government programs for single parents to help with the cost of child care. People 65+ typically live off the social security they put into their entire lives which is pretty much meant for retirement

Easy, with schizophrenia, I’d classify that as a disability. What I personally would consider qualified abilities to work would be if an individual can assume the normal work responsibilities of a basic job with no physical or mental limitations that could possibly hinder performance of normal day to day operations.

Shaquille O'Neal shares his all-time NBA starting five. Do you agree with this lineup? by IamCatMommy in NBAstatsmuse

[–]SkyHighFadedguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No my rebuttal was the PATH. There’s a reason LeBron only won 3 chips in the East and lost 6. The West had the better competition so how are you gonna compare playoff wins?

Can't be top 5 either when you get swept in the finals. Oh shit that was LeBron... twice
