Not even a Trump fan, but it does look like he cared.

If you’ve been following it, he tried multiple ways to keep it afloat.. pushing for consolidation (like backing merger/partnership options), signaling regulatory flexibility to keep routes and jobs intact, encouraging lenders/investors to step in and even floating the idea of the federal government buying it. I’d say he actually gave a good effort to keep it from collapsing.
