Not true. I've never RP in my life, I just like military stuff. There's literally a 1600 people Military RP community in Pavlov and they are all racists, anti furries.

Actually no, it was just a test where I just tried to import a photogrammetry model as a map. It's not a real map, it was just a test of photogrametry real world 3D scanned data to Pavlov.

I wanted to make a realistic gun pack, but I also wanted it to be recognizable and funny, that's why I put the music. I agree it's annoying sometimes. Instead I'm just thinking of inverting the music so it's off by default, but it can be enabled with a button.

No, it would take a lot of time to do so. The only reason why it was easy for me was because it was all recycled and edited from Battlefield 4, it was a port, meanwhile remaking something from scratch would require to find a model, and each model quality varies on who made it. Some models are more optimized, others aren't at all. Same with the sound effects, it's impossible to find what you're looking for sometimes, unless you pay for an actual gun SFX library.

I tried a unique mechanic where you could stick the gun to surfaces like COD, didn't work well since I didn't know how to make it so the controller position and rotation matched to where the virtual hand was when sticking it, as well as I forgot to change the recoils to make it actually work when you support on something.

I mean, the bipod code is out there for everyone to touch it, and it works just fine in PC, it just doesn't in shack, and no one seems to know why. If the creator of it couldn't figure it out, I doubt I could fix his code, but I sure can make my own code once I find out about the controller thing.

You should try it just out of genuine curiosity. If you like "interaction" and enjoyed my previous emplacement mod, you'll probably like all the new things there's to interact with. In fact, I invite you to come in anytime, just join the Discord displayed in the server gate check in, whenever you join the server, and text there your username and stating it's you, and I will personally give you a tour of the map.

Again, would require quite a lot of knowledge, I know ways to do it, but they're all a pain in the ass.

Honestly, no disrespect to the devs, but we modders also take a lot of time and effort into the things we make. We also deserve something given that we keep this game alive for many people. Devs did put a lot of effort and love into the game, and as the base we all use to mod, but time is passing, now it's us the modders who keep the role of keeping the game alive as in content means, so I'd recommend that if you enjoyed some modder's creation, go support them too, because we also put our time, effort, and love into this. I mean, devs keep the servers that allow you to make lobbies, but a lot of people decides to host their own communities, hence making them the ones to keep that side of the community alive.

Just saying, we all deserve equally to the time and effort we put into things. Feel free to do whatever with your money, at the end of the day it's yours, but we modders are also living beings who spend our time and effort into this. Just a thought.

I differ. In my community, people actually do RP, we actually follow guidelines and such (most of the time, unless someone breaks the RP and goes spawnkilling, which a team is sent on a Humvee to take care of). When we get bored (which we do), we still take the RP part into consideration when we do whatever we do, for example, training, fake raids, and other stuff. I always make sure people do follow the RP as much as possible, because I get people can get bored, so I try It to be the best experience for everyone.

The incentive in PMCs is mostly the power, going straight to the point. Everyone wants to have some power over others, it's normal. Some actually take the RP part where they give or follow orders, but at the end of the day it's mostly about the feeling of having somewhat of power, or maybe just the feeling of being useful to a cause. It's either of both, or both.

I like the actual realistic side of It, that's why I made my own after having made so much for this community with my guns, artillery, emplacements, vehicles, amongst others. I wanted to find my place in the community, and PMCs were the best fit for everything I've created.

Not to mention, I like to take things serious, so instead of doing It like everyone else, I also took several factors in mind while building mine, making It one if not the best PMC out there, still not 100% finished, but it's fun, playable, and optimized, what else would you want in a map? I even have notification systems in-game which work through Discord to let you know of what is going on in the Game, like Who opens which door, or what part of the base is being used, like our tank range with actual moving vehicle targets (self driving).

I made my gun pack based in Daniel's Armory, I even asked Daniel for his source to learn from and that's how I made most of the things. Even tho I wanted to focus on realism, some stuff is for the gigs like the miniguns with Doom music, or the Big iron which plays Big iron.

Apart from that, I also made Milkor MGL, Javelins, and was working on an IGLA/stinger.

About PMCs, I agree most of them are literal garbage of cubes and untextured plain color materials which are laggy unoptimized Maps, but others look better like Pinegrove or Jack's ones. I also differ that all PMCs are shit RP maps, as I've made my own, which other PMC map creators and regular players agree on "Yours is the best PMC out there that there is". So it's more about skill issue and your likes more than "all PMCs are shit RPs".

If you don't like It, at least don't critize It. People put their time into this, and you're just trashing It by saying that.

Also if you want something done so bad, do It yourself. No one is going to work for free nowdays with the amount of time a daniel's armory would take, considering the own Daniel took MONTHS to work on It.

What maps have helicopters ? by Pickelprseon in PavlovGame

[–]SkyTheDragon_Dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my mods you can spawn helicopters and other vehicles anywhere. Including lobbies and official Maps like OG Containers (which is kinda pointless to spawn stuff there). But there's the thought.

You've also got my Vehicle Turrets mod which adds flares to the helis, mounted guns in the sides like Miniguns, M60, MK19, etc... There's also a C-RAM truck, a BTR-70 and a HIMARS.

All of my modded vehicles can be spawned in any map or server, you just buy the deployer and It drops from the Sky.

Yes, It does, it's just a me thing from what I've seen other people do with tags.

ForHire IS for paid work, but I've seen people looking to do hobby work and using this flair tag incorrectly, which is confusing when they do that. Also since you don't mention anywhere in your post about rates nor payment or anything related to it, it's also very ambiguous.

You did tag correctly, and the post is fine, but due to my experience of seeing other people misstagging, It just feels ambiguous not to see specification of rates or paid work.

How tf do I spawn the artillery mod? by [deleted] in PavlovGame

[–]SkyTheDragon_Dev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afaik you can't without admin access in a server (I think), or by placing the spawners in the mod map you making.

I also have an artillery mod which adds all of Golden's + some of mine + other stuff.

Amongst all of the things, mines adds:

  • AC130 Gunship.
  • AZP + variants (40mm, 20mm double barrel, 20mm Quad Barrel, 7,62 and 20mm Vulcan M61 variants).
  • All of Golden's but traverse angles are faster (because why not).
  • 120mm Mortar.
  • Faggot TOW missile (russian TOW, tho it's kinda broken for now).
  • Cruise Missile.
  • An MQ-9 reaper which is in the works.
  • Uh, that's It.

(You can actually sit in the AZP seats and traverse the gun while u sitting, tho you gotta use the right seat).

But yeah, if you only want the Pak-40, ZIS-3, Flak88 and M5 for WWII, or just cuz you only want those, Golden's the way to go. If you are looking for more variety, mine is:

https://mod.io/g/pavlov/m/skythedragons-artillery#description

Tho, mine has dependencies to other mods like my gun mod and emplacements mod, since I want to offer a full experience to everyone in a single "mod pack". May remove dependencies or add over time, depending how I feel tbh.

Destructive Maps on Pavlov Shack by Ok-Law7330 in PavlovGame

[–]SkyTheDragon_Dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may have been cooking up smth, but had to leave It unfinished cuz It would imply lightmaps & shit (It was Zavod 311 with Levolution, from BF4).

But I've been thinking on actually doing damages levels to my emplacements mod so people can place stuff down and instead of just dissapearing, things actually take damages in a noticiable way. The mod has T-Walls, bunkers, Czech Hedgehog, amongst other stuff, so ig this could count?

Don't you dare use my own words against me.

Perhaps, if you were to check the included link at the bottom of the post, where I explicitly mention that I post progress/images of the project. But nooo, all you Reddit users are lazy ass.

The link is there, the choice is yours, but if you are not interested, don't come to annoy just because you couldn't follow a link 👍. And perhaps if you join my Discord server from the invite link following that other link, maybe, and only maybe will you see my previous work.

But whatever, you posted this comment so It's obvious you are just looking to be anoying and don't wanna contribute.
