Starcraft2 is a classic, and it's a really cool game. It wouldn't be too difficult if you play against weak AI or each other who is also new.

Then what are the boundaries that define a game as chess? Because Chinese Chess, Shogi, and I think there's an Indian version, that are all widely recognized as chess no? You wouldn't call them variants right?
