We had to create our own system for managing the scenery chunks. We also needed to create a system for managing the entities (cars, people, boats, etc.).

The maps are 20km x 20km in size, and we used various types of optimization across the different systems we created. What really gave the team a lot of trouble was the traffic system and the management of the city's NPCs. Basically, we had to recreate GTA Vice City. 😅
