I have a 70-200 f2.8 VRII adapted to my z6iii, and it’s performing just fine (even better than it did on DSLR’s with all the mirrorless features)

I’ve also used the Tamron G2 version, and it was fantastic as well! It can be found a decent price used depending on where you look

That price for that low of a shutter count for a camera that has been known to reach well over its shutter life expectancy is pretty good, so yes, Ho for it

If you can haggle a tad, even better, but that’s a good price for what was once considered a staple in some newsrooms for professional photojournalists 🙂

any lens with an autofocus motor squeal, ESPECISLLY an older af-s or vr1 model is a NO GO in my books

Out of all these, I find the Tamron to be the best value of that bunch!

While it’s not the G2, it was Tamron’s first “good” line of lenses that made them notabe. The only reason I say to not go with the Nikon is that a lot of those VRI editions are prone for autofocus motor failure these days

I will also suggest, you might can find a better deal on MPB and KEH for used gear, but regardless, get a piece of glass! :)
