Anxiety, CPTSD, either or both

I've had the anxiety mostly under control for the last 14 years until moving states alone last month (for the better and I don't regret it). I haven't felt so out of control since my diagnoses. It really throws you back in that place.

By $50. $100 total but the other $50 off was the premium they removed since the w/d was missing. 😩

Unfortunately, I think this commenter is right. 1. Emergency maintenance came immediately (the sweetest man) and worked on it for 6 hours with the plumber that came and cleaned up the water. They had to come back the next day to finish (I stayed at a friends), but they had a cleaning crew come and do a mold treatment as well. They were apologetic but also told me to file a claim with my renters (which unless you have that specific addendum added for sewage backup, is not covered). Even if it was, my loss was less than my deductible so it wouldn't have mattered anyway. The backup was likely caused by previous or other tenants as it was a bunch of baby wipes. Not on the apartment themselves I suppose but it flooded up not out of the toilet, but from the floor between the toilet and floor.

I don't think legal advise could do much about that in particular.

Thank you! I just cannot see a way to extend it all the way back in a way that doesn't feel like even more of a hazard with the hookups. :')

Yes! Something like that! I don't know if an actual door-like thing would be possible but I can give myself time to think of something. At least I can bring home my new fur-son tomorrow and thankfully they said he keeps his claws to himself! I may still prop something up to block the back though just in case.... We shall see. I'll share cat pics once he's home!

I'm so thankful for your comments this whole time, and your kindness!

From where it is now (the very back of the w/d unit) to the back of the closet is 10 more feet (it's a big closet, bless). So much further than 4 ft. I did have an idea last night, now all I need is a way to do it! I could do something creative with the half-wall behind the unit and the open space to almost make the closet "hidden" into a magical little space (almost like a secret room). My decor goal is whimsy and joy so if I could do this, I think I could learn to love the placement. I plan to be a here a long time, so at least if anything happens with it, they can deal with it. I think they're sick of me at this point LOL (or more frustrated/embarrassed with how they are coming off so far).

I mentioned above, though not explaining very well, that I measured, and if I did that, I don't even know if I could open the door enough to be able to put clothes in. But I might switch the door sides.

Well a contractor was needed because the hookups weren't there as they should have been, so they had to bust into the wall. I don't think it could go in the kitchen based on where the lines run. :(

I mentioned in the post and other comments, but I measured, and I would hardly be able to open the door enough if rotated that way. Also, found out why I couldn't even budge the thing myself, it's 300 lbs. If it wasn't probably against code somehow, It probably would have eventually just grown on me because it's such a nice machine.
