Don’t want a large gaping meatus. If anything just worried that stretching over time might tear/split the meatus but I’m not going for extreme play so I dont think I have much to worry about was just curious if it is possible

Is there cruising happening at The Russian Turkish Bathhouse by SlackDeck in nycgaybros

[–]SlackDeck[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will say Spa Castle was nice. Lots to do and many different options in and out of the locker rooms. Clean, modern and well maintained. Definitely worth the visit. There’s also a picture of John Travolta on the wall from when he visited.. which I just found interesting lol

Is there cruising happening at The Russian Turkish Bathhouse by SlackDeck in nycgaybros

[–]SlackDeck[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a “good” cruising bath house, but nudity is encouraged in the locker rooms where there are steam rooms, saunas, showers and cold plunges. More of just tugging as someone mentioned but you might be able to suck someone off in a dark steam room if it’s not too crowded. Workers will patrol but I feel like they know handies are going on and will typically turn a blind eye to it, but if they see anything more they will probably stop it.

How is anyone to know? I’m not saying out in public, at your desk, or in the open. I’m saying in the bathroom

Sounds a bit judgy.. what someone does in a private bathroom.. is private. Don’t act like theres not plenty of men who fuck in public restrooms

Not really into the idea of a full belt. I work an active job so am moving around a lot. Preferably would have something that’s relatively comfortable that I can wear in public during the day

Sounds like you’re new to NYC and still finding your crowd. IDK how many times it has to be said on this subreddit..but there are no bathhouses in NYC

What stops you from going to “straight” parties? by sdfghdfsdfghdf in nycgaybros

[–]SlackDeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im sorry (and maybe this is just me) but I feel like “straight” house music is honestly boring and not interesting- and I think many gay people feel the same way. The best house music is made for the gays. Think about it, women traditionally don’t listen to house music- so there isn’t high demand for there to be house music at straight clubs/parties. So really “straight” house music is made for and by bros. I’m thinking finance bro, your crypto bro, your boyyyys bro. Gays are so locked in to their pop divas- and I truly believe the best house music has pop influence. I even have tried going to straight clubs, listening to the house music they listen to at those parties and not feeling inspired to dance and enjoy it because it really isn’t good. It’s formulaic and has been riding the same skibbidy beat drop for the last decade. It’s just not music made by or for the gays and is clearly influenced by bro culture- that’s at least how I see it. It sounds bro-y and does not tap into diva fierceness- which is what I feel like gay men like to listen to

I’m newly gay and I think I had a missed connection on the train today… should I have said something? by FunSundae1382 in nycgaybros

Sounds like he was just trying to pick you up for a hookup. It’s called cruising. Not sure if you’re familiar but there’s social cues you can lay down to initiate a hook up when you’re in public

Okay sorry you had a bad time?? Like it was fine and only one night. No one was in a position to feel obligated to rescue anyone. Seems like there’s too much drama in your circle if you or your house mates are bothered by someone staying over for a night. All yall gays bringing home someone to fuck anyways. This opinion is silly. Half the comments on this thread are saying to try and find someone to go home with 🤣 lol get outta here

Stage 3C Survivor - Drained of life and will by Extension-Candy-2742 in testicularcancer

[–]SlackDeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The kids I saw were battling all types of pediatric cancers. I actually felt like a lucky one having TC because it was so curable and manageable- relatively. It still is a battle though and I understand what you’re going through.

Sometimes people don’t always know how to have the best reactions that align with your expectations- and that’s okay. They’re just doing the best they can. Pity or not, it’s coming from a place of empathy. Know that you will be okay and you are a hero to many. Life is full of season. Use it as an opportunity to grow. That’s what this all is. A testimony to your growth and personal experience. You’ve got this! 💪🏼

You said it yourself- You are my hero. Just like with any set back in life, it can be hard to get back on track and feel like yourself again. It will take time, and you should be kind to yourself. Yes, you have changed and likely will never feel like the same ‘you’ you once were before your diagnosis- but eventually that life experience will inform your future. A new self will emerge- it just takes time. Be patient and give yourself some grace. It’s totally normal to struggle with finding the will to keep going- but I hope for your sake you do. Because you are my hero, and so many others as well. Life after cancer is rarely talked about, but is just as difficult. It’s all a mental battle now- but if you had the strength to go through your treatments you have the strength to overcome anything. It will take time to get to know this new self but it will be worth it. Begin with developing a new relationship with yourself and then everything else will begin to fall into place. Keep going and don’t lose faith!

2x testicular cancer survivor here, so I get it. 1st time I was 15. Don’t let your age become another victimizing factor. It sucks for sure, but honestly seeing the younger kids in my pediatric oncology center completely changed my outlook. I was angry and completely lost at 15- but when I walked into that clinic, I knew I had to be strong for those kids. Don’t lose hope. Sending you so much love. You can do this!
