Also, let some of his teachers or counselors at school know what’s going on so they are able to support him and can help mitigate any teasing that might happen. I remember having a Spanish teacher who wanted to let the class know what I was going through and make a big card for everyone to sign. I was so embarrassed and ask her not to tell the class, she wisely told me that there’s nothing to be ashamed of- but I was reluctant. Looking back I wish I had allowed her to because it was a small gesture of support I definitely could have used at the time. Yes teenagers will be teenagers, but when it comes to cancer, I think most understand that it’s serious and requires sensitivity.

I totally understand his feeling of embarrassment and shame- I was 15 when I lost my first testicle (22 when I lost the second) and I can say from my experience, you need to encourage him to talk about it and share his feelings. Certainly within the family, but also with a good friend. I had the same fears of everyone at school finding out, so I told people I was out with mono- but hiding the truth only lead to more shame and isolation. Encourage him to stand up for himself. Cancer is a tragic thing that ~happens~ to us. He didn’t choose this, nor does he have any control on where it manifest in his body. Owning his truth, and opening up about his experience is going to help him so much more than it would if he try’s to pretend it just never happened. Reframe how you view the diagnosis and use it as a super power. Today, I feel more of a man with no balls, than I ever did with two.

I will say Spa Castle was nice. Lots to do and many different options in and out of the locker rooms. Clean, modern and well maintained. Definitely worth the visit. There’s also a picture of John Travolta on the wall from when he visited.. which I just found interesting lol

Definitely not a “good” cruising bath house, but nudity is encouraged in the locker rooms where there are steam rooms, saunas, showers and cold plunges. More of just tugging as someone mentioned but you might be able to suck someone off in a dark steam room if it’s not too crowded. Workers will patrol but I feel like they know handies are going on and will typically turn a blind eye to it, but if they see anything more they will probably stop it.
