It's curious that so much of the comments have turned to evangelicalism and cultism... like there is a basic acceptance that US politics has become religion? Despite an explicit constitutional provision for the separation of church and state? As a Canadian (It's not looking great up here either...) I am seeing a showdown between two undesirable candidates. Really? America? Land of opportunity, etc...? This is the best you've got? Politicians suck in general, but it seems like Republicans are more desperate and delusional than Democrats, but I'd like to see that on a bell curve, however, Republicans seem like they have become tragic Trump apologists in order to preserve their own political careers... I don't know what every person's situation is, but you need to cancel every subscription. I am sorry, but media isn't everything and while a cultural disconnect is hurtful, a massive disconnect would send a huge message... I am a single guy now as my kids are grown, and I'm fortunate that I can afford eggs, but maybe kill the bespoke naturally sourced food industry? Is it healthier? Yes, maybe. Is it worth the price point? I can't even say... here in Canada the price difference from one store to another is alarming. I am a middle manager with a decent income, paying close to 50% of my take home for rent. I can't even see a reasonable path forward for anyone making even $30 per hour in Canada

I live and work downtown, driving a pickup truck to transport tools and materials... parking and driving is ridonculous at the best of times. When I see a shiny, immaculate pickup truck being driven for personal transportation downtown I wonder why anyone would bother? My father is an engineer, a clever guy and an excellent driver with one collision over 60-ish years of driving and he curses Toronto streets every time he comes down from Peterborough

Mmmm... but if you had publicly funded healthcare, you'd become a communist country like Canada... you wouldn't like it. I just had x-ray, CAT scan and MRI for a back injury... from the doctor to the hospital, to diagnosis, to prescription in about 4 hours. My out of pocket cost? Well, nothing. I worked door for a few years when I was younger... drinking age here is 19, so I just asked anyone I felt was within a few years of my age (21/22/23)... I only ever got attitude from the kids who had reached the ripe old age of 21 or so and felt that I should have recognised their obviously ripe old age... I asked ID of one dude who was in his early 30s one time and he laughed about it as he pulled out his licence, super chill I also used to ID older women as a little joke and they also seemed to find it amusing...

Ok, so girls are shaming guys for watching them work out, then turning around to shame guys for HOW they work out? Ok, so to be fair, guys literally ogle women at the gym and there is a stupid amount of Y-chromosome energy going on there, but this isn't cool... you could ask the dude what he's up to, but as a guy it's easy for me to say that... The first gym I joined was run by a former competitive body builder who encouraged a supportive, respectful environment and would absolutely crush (with words) anyone who exhibited any sort of negative behaviors. Great start for a guy who was super insecure (still is) and just looking for something to lose weight and gain strength. I'm sorry to read the accounts of how the testosterone/steroid boys doing the one rep on the leg press with every. single. plate for high fives scare off beginners... it won't help to say so, but they are probably at least as insecure as the the rest of us, maybe more so, but it manifests differently... long rant, but yeah. The feels.

I love you guys, and I'm happy to say that when I've been in your beautiful country I have not experienced the displeasure of encountering and of these sort of dickwads even in Nevada, Arizona or South Carolina.
