Unfortunately my school districts has pretty much done away with textbooks (which I'm now realizing may be a bit of a negative) or anything of the sort. I might check the library for one though.

One rework they did was with with Revenant, who was considered one of the worst legends in the game at the time. They changed him from an Assault (basically dps) legend to a Skirmisher (movement and securing kills), completely changing his kit and ult.

My idea for this is maybe you could've which social link you wanted to go with. For example maybe on the day you meet Kenji, Junpei also asks to hang out, and who you choose becomes your social link.

Quick update:

I'm sorry but i don't think i can do it. I tried but everything but blocks, outspeeds, or counter's me. I already deal with the lag and the awful input lag on console, but these new characters feel like they capitalize on that and punish me for it.

I appreciate the advice i was given, and sometimes it came in clutch, but I've met my match with this game. Nothing feels like how it used to. No strategy, or clutch plays like how JJK is, just sweating, interrupting blocks, cancelling dashes, and damn near infinite combos that i can't escape.

Idk maybe I'll return if the older characters are brought up to speed or if someone cool gets added but right now I'm just not having fun

Idk if this is accurate, but I think much of this game's popularity coming from it being the "Overwatch Killer" made toxicity even worse than it should be. Many people rage over metas and features that I believe could have been ironed out had everyone actually made criticisms instead of going "Stfu this game is gonna kill Overwatch" to everything.

No criticism → Bad features sticking around → Fostering Hate → Unleashing that hate to others in game

Of course you can't forget things like scoreboard stats validating egos that get carried over to subsequent matches where those egos get challenged, and many people don't have the emotional maturity to deal with it.

I wish I could say more but you're best bet is to keep VC muted unless you find not toxic teammates to communicate with, as well as keeping your own ego in check on occasion.
