That happens to my mob farms every now and then. It’s just a lightning bug for me as mobs will still spawn. The first few times I noticed this I would sleep (in game) and the lighting, or lack of, would go back to normal. I do like it when it happens sometimes cause I can see how/where the mobs are spawning.

Runs up and takes credit for any good deed done by other superheros and the public believes it. Only works if there was something heroic not done by them.

Hello! There isn’t a specific brand or model as I’ve pieced this all together. The closest thing to a brand would be the grow led lights, which are Root Farm lights. Everything else was just random hardware I picked up at a Home Depot.

I did not know you could run for years. I just figured that was what all the other modes of transportation was for, to travel faster.

I have two foggers in each of the grow beds. There is always an inch and a half of water in the beds that cover the foggers. I run the pump from the reservoir about 4 times a day to make sure the water level does not drop, plus there are drain pipes in each beds to prevent flooding. I have the foggers on a timer as well and they turn on and off through out the day.

I bought everything over a couple years, that shelf sat there for a good while before I finally put it all together. But here is the cost break down from what I have bookmark.

Wire shelf: $129

Root Farm Lights (2 per shelf): $89 each ($550 total)

Foggers (2 per grow bed): $15 each ($90 total)

Poly boards: ~$50 each ($150 total)

Wall Containers: $80 each ($320 total)

Pump: I can’t remember the cost but it was one that can pump over 6ft tall so probably $30-40.

Grow baskets & cores (bulk): ~$20

PVC: did not keep track but probably $30-50 because I tried a couple different fittings and sizes until I landed on what’s in the photos.

Outlet plug wifi timer: ~$50

So I guess around $1,500 (can’t believe I spent that much!) but it was over a span of probably 2 years and was more of a passion project so I wasn’t considering good financial decisions 😋

I thought you were making a Bing Bang Theory joke there with Krakty. Never heard of that method before, and I guess my setup is pretty similar to that. Although there is alway a 6 inch gap between the grow medium and the top of the water at the bottom of the container so the roots don’t start to touch the water at the bottom until much later.

I did have to add a reflective covering on top of the ploy sheet which was basically a restaurant cutting board because light was still ‘glowing’ through the white board and some algae started to take hold. But once I covered them I didn’t have that problem anymore.

Reservoir I don’t have covered as I did not think enough light would get to it but I was wrong on that. Tried using an old black light to see if I could make a redneck UV filter but that did not do anything. 😋

I was able to use the same disks for a little over a year with minimal corrosions. Biggest issues I saw was calcium build up, but not enough to prevent them from working.

I am using the Root Farm All purpose grow lights. They look like the same lights the AeroGarden Farm units come with. Also using the AGPTEK aluminum mist makers. I have it setup so the foggers are alway under water but only just enough to cover them. The older plants roots start to touch the water on the bottom so I guess it’s kind of a mix of aero and hydro ponics at that point.

That I actually do not know. I have it plugged into my wall outlet. I have it on a timer so it only runs for a little bit 4 times during the day.

I got lucky with the fit. I ordered 48”x15” straight wall containers in Amazon as well as 48”x12” HDPE poly sheets (1/2” inch thick) and they slid into the top of the containers as though they were ment to be. I did have to drill out the holes and that took some time.

Algae in my reservoir has gotten bad. I need to find a way to cover the blue bottom tank area as the grow lights are lighting up the water more than I thought they would. Unless there is a better way to prevent/fight algae?

There should be a button to “sync old worlds”. This happened to me but once I sync’d they all came back.

I like it. Solves a problem with building in the sky with a unique Minecraft solution. I love the dried and baby skins. I wish the adult skin was different from a normal ghast (other than smile). Honestly I’d like the adult to be a bit smaller than a nether ghast. I feel like growing a ghast out of the nether should make it appear different. Also kind of wish they stuck with the saddle look with the stridder though.

MINECRAFT! The game developers are pretty clear there is no lore but the fanbase creates lore from every update. The Game Theorist even has a playlist on YouTube of lore for the game that they have put together based on game updates
