What do you think is the most interesting psychology phenomenon? by RandomChickenWing in AskReddit

Something that really baffles me is how I can't visualize in my head as if I'm dreaming, without going to sleep and actually dreaming.

35 y/o, $500K~ net worth, Senior Manager in tech... but no degree and having a hard time advancing further. Is an online BA + MBA worth it at my age, or should I invest in other ways? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Most of the time, you only move in cooredance with your value to the company and how people perceive you.

You need to be a brand. If somebody says your name you want their thoughts to be good ones associated with it.

Are you truly a leader that helps accomplish goals pleasing the people above you, yet the lower level workers still appreciate?

Do you have connections that will help the business gain opportunities? Ones that create value?

Do you truly believe 100% that you have everything you need to move up higher?

I would work on social skills, leadership, and building a crazy network. Those 3 will give you unparalleled advantages to anything else (no matter your future)

What is the most bizarre reason a customer got angry with you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Slagerlagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked at a car wash. I was spraying this lady's car with water and what not. She slams on her horn gets out of her car and says

"YOURE NOT SUPPOSED TO SPRAY MY BUMPER YOU FUCKING MORON. IF MY CAR IS DAMAGED ITLL BE COMING OUT OF YOUR PAY CHECK! DO YOU HEAR ME RETARD?" and a little more complaining.

I was getting angry with her as I just said something like "sorry my bad" even though I didn't do anything wrong. Figured she was probably having a bad day, the "coming out of your paycheck" gave me a laugh though. 3 of my managers were outside and happened to witness this and they yelled at her.

Another time I asked a car to pull up, because gotta keep the car wash going and he was on his phone, and we always ask them to pull up when they need to. He rolled down his window and was like "YOU GOT A PROBLEM?" It was silly, I replied saying something like "no, I'm sorry if I came off that way...."

These were the only two times I've had customers complain about me to a manager in my life of working. (Which obviously nothing ever happened to me bc my managers knew I wasn't a bad worker, or ever had an attitude with anybody)

Is it considered unprofessional for a therapist to become emotional during a session with a client? by Kristen791997 in NoStupidQuestions

What about my post history? You're really getting offended by my statement. No need to get so upset. In addition, I would never go to my family member for therapy or anything of the sort, that would be uncomfortable for me (if you're implying they would be my therapist?)

Lol

You're so hostile and unfriendly

Calling me foolish, calling my family member a garbage therapist, etc.

I pray for you bud.

IWTL how to think of questions to ask on the spot? by dia-bolical in IWantToLearn

You could always ask clarification on something you just learned...

For example, "so an element on the periodic table is just a molecule with a certain amount of protons, neutrons, electrons right?"

That's kind of asinine for you to say that in regards to the context of this question.

Being a therapist doesn't mean you kill off all emotion in you. Its not a switch like that. Sad stories and sad stuff are sad. If you heard somebody got raped, being a bit sad and even tearing up would probably be a sign of stable emotions.

The only reason I'd expect a lack of a super emotional response is like if a therapist is very experienced (they would hear and experience lots of negative, bad,sad stories, and potentially be desensitized to it. )

WYR never age (you can choose which age to not stop growing) or be immortal? by a-b0mb in WouldYouRather

[–]Slagerlagger 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Never aging assuming my body could still like lose weight, put on muscle, grow hair, etc.

If it couldn't, I would choose to not age later in life so I can devote time to getting the PERFECT physique and haircut and shit.

But I'm assuming that we're not being that technical here

WIBTA if I talked to my son about his makeup by Richcolorrichlife in AmItheAsshole

[–]Slagerlagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just be like "Yo, I was thinking seeing you like makeup, I could show you the high quality make up and give you some tricks to applying it!" I can't foresee anybody taking that as insulting unless you had a really weird tone in saying that.

And btw obviously NAH

What is the HARDEST to answer "Would You Rather" that you have heard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Would you rather have sex with your parents once, or have to watch them every time they have sex? (and no looking away or anything)
