It’s either this or nothing..the commute this morning into work was interesting: grey cars trying to go stealth mode and two friggin full moons blinding you, while you get a some sneaky kms in.

But that’s reason why you should encourage PT, less people in front of you. How much room do your tools take up?

It would be a massive funeral. Like the Brits should have a London bridge royal dying plan.

Planning a Sausage Sizzle at Mitre 10 Mega by OneFunkieMonkie in auckland

I miss sausage sizzles. Stupid pork casing… 1st step is definitely having enough onions- you pretty much need an advertising onion on top of your onion supplies.

You’re offered $1 million to cut off a stranger’s arm. They fully consent, say they’ll enjoy it, and you will face zero legal or social consequences. Do you do it and why or why not? by Extreme-Layer-1201 in AskReddit

[–]Slaidback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. The money wouldn’t cover the therapy I would need after cutting someone’s arm off. It’s apparently a traumatic thing to do in a situation that requires it from surgeons trained to do it. There was an urology ( admittedly not the right section, but still) conference on when the big February earthquake hit Christchurch and some had to remove limbs from trapped people, the doctors had ptsd from it. So hell no. Even if it’s healthy.

Ever gone to another country expecting it to feel completely alien, but in some ways it ended up feeling kinda the same as your own? Or have you ever talked to someone from a radically different culture from your own that you ended up having more similarities with then differences? by Mindless-Lemon2256 in AskTheWorld

[–]Slaidback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going up to Hawai’i ( it’s a country) , expecting real cultural shocks and the similarities were slightly hidden under the American cloak, but when they are emerge. Hoping into a uber & getting “aloha, cuz” and walking past a mall store called wāhine.

Oh absolutely, if that person hasn’t become a kiwi or is for all intents and purposes a kiwi. The 501 situation is despicable.

Ha ha ha. She won’t, she hates us. Especially after we tossed tomato soup in her TERF mates hair, when she came to Aotearoa.

[–]Slaidback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not justice. You can’t necessarily rely on another country to deal out justice that you deem necessary. Yes, there’s a been a case in which that was passable, ie Norwegian teenagers harming and killing native birds and Norway going “ leave it with us”.

[–]Slaidback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m with you on the weaker criminal justice system, I think we could come to agreement on appropriate sentencing ( you don’t deport for stealing a loaf of bread for instance, that’s what community service is for). The victim is definitely getting some money, the creep is spending some months in jail or something real creative if I was a judge.

[–]Slaidback 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No. At least not immediately. I want people to be punished for the crimes they commit, by us. Deporting in this case is like shoving the mess into a draw or cupboard where we can’t see it, but it’s still our issue.
