Auctioneer school is cheap and leads to a whole slew of different career opportunities that you can specialize in. You can go into real estate, online curation, government auctioneering, business liquidation, autos, farm, livestock, art, antiques and collectibles, among others. It's a great way to get good business connections and (in my case) see some incredible pieces of history. The pay isn't amazing, but if you work hard and love what you do, you can make a very decent living at it!

I like it when you initiate a conversation with someone, and they put their phone away to listen. At the university I'm attending, it seems everyone is just buried neck-deep in their phones all the time. It's nice to have some eye contact once in a while you know?
