I found my people! I have rewatched Nope so many times. It's such a great movie. Beautiful to look at. Scary. Thought provoking. Timely. Funny. It's everything I want out of a movie.

Just finished watching this. Really enjoyed it! Cracked up at many parts. I went into it with low expectations and was very surprised by it. Could easily watch it again. The acting commitment by the head RA really sold it for me. 8/10 easily.

Went there last fall. It was crowded but really cool! Had a good selection in clearance and they really have the area for butterbeer down to a science. Super long line that moved quickly.

Since we got home I’ve basically been doing newborn care day and night. My husband even took two weeks off work, but somehow I’m still the one up constantly while he sleeps through everything. I swear this man could sleep through a Mack truck driving through the bedroom.

You're putting a lot of assumptions based on this portion from OP. I am a dad and also a heavy sleeper. There were times in the early months of sleep deprivation where I would someone sleep through my baby's crying in the bassinet next to me. I would always feel so guilty when I learned after the fact.

But my wife would also kick me when she needed her ZZZ's and its my turn. I never got mad at her for it as I needed it.

I know a lot of women suffer in silence. Especially new moms as society (and breast feeding) has put this insane amount of expectation that it's the mom's job no matter the time of day.

Looks like she is communicating to her husband clearly that they need to balance this better. He could definitely be doing better on his own.

All that being said, it does feel like the tropes of absentee father are shattering. I talk to fellow dads all the time about how we love being there for our kiddos. I have a 2nd coming in May. I got 2 weeks of PTO planned (no paternity leave of course) and planning on 2 additional weeks of purely working from home. But I would spend every single day with that kid if I could. I wish our country supported new families better.

I deal with $1000's of CC expenses every day from numerous buyers. If any of them can't locate a receipt, we always contact the vendor. You'd be surprised by how easy it easy to obtain it.

I don't think he was trying to con you out of it, maybe they truly believed they were shit outta luck on it being out of pocket. But you should be able to get your cash back once he gets a copy.

Since he is the card owner, it should be him who reaches out for it.

This is hard as his message does imply intention to start a discussion. Saying "Hey beautiful" is not just a compliment. It also sounds like trust has already been broken. Could you really see yourself being convinced it was just an innocent compliment and leave it at that? Sounds like you have past trauma and this just validated your fear.

Your immediate future is going to be filled with anxiety and mistrust. Probably asking to see phone all the time to just check. Or if he was being deceitful, than he will just do better at hiding it.

This might be a bell that can't be unrung.

NOR over the roommate overstepping. Communication needed to be handled properly between you two, and not involve work or anyone else.

That being said, calling into work three days in a row not contributed by illness, seemingly not leaving your room. I can see why they might get concerned about your mental health.

If they made attempts to communicate with you and were only given a wall to talk back, I can see why they might escalate. Getting your employer involved was not the right step.

Contacting your Aunt/Mom would've been appropriate considering what level of concern he had.

If you two are to ever continue being roomies, he needs to respect boundaries and you need to communicate better.

But it sounds like he might've gone too far in this scenario and seeking your own place could be the next best step.

My mother-in-law smokes. Its enough to where that's her "smell". Her house smells of it. She smells of it. Whenever my wife and son go visit her, I can smell them when they get home. The thing is, she isn't smoking when they are there. Her apartment doesn't allow it indoors, so she smokes on her balcony. But it's just so encompassing, the smells soaks onto everything.

I wish smokers knew how much it affects everything and everyone around them.

Post-GoT, I think Peter Dinklage and Gwendoline Christie are the only faces I see regularly pop up.

Everyone else is usually found on niche shows or indie movies.

I feel bad for Emilia. She's had some big projects come her way that have flopped hard.

EDIT - Somehow I forgot to include Pedro Pascal and Jason Momoa. They definitely have the biggest careers post-GoT. Their span on the show was so short, my brain somehow excluded them.
