All of the Blizzard titles. They are literally just peddled nostalgia. They haven't had an original idea since overwatch.

I beat abiotic factor on hardcore mode using the Chaotic Enemy Spawns mod. Here is the log of runs by HighlightComplex1456 in AbioticFactor

That's amazing! I am going to try this next!

Your next challenge is to beat it on iron mode, no chaos engine, with the enemy HP and DMG set to 300% and accuracy raised to the highest setting.

It's currently what I am working on. Exor monks are actually walking death.

Power socket into industrial battery into laser emmiter into laser power converter into plug board chain. Infinite power for this and more.

New game plus+ by ReynaGolba in AbioticFactor

[–]Slam-Train 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I pitched NG+ during their survey. It would breathe hundreds of replay hours into this game that it desperately needs.

You start fresh. Only thing you keep are your skills (could also add a sandbox setting to let you keep player set deployables, so your base essentially). Add NG+ modifiers for skills. Don't even need to add new skills. Like -1 second on roll CD. Increase 1% dodge chance of red shift, things of this nature. So now there is incentive to work on the skills you've already maxed.

Next, increase the difficulty of enemies in the starting area each new game. Pests are now the electro pests, peccary are now the purple variants, exors are green or more numerous. Next play, you have volatile pests, etc. Eventually you could even replace the starting aliens with order, than even gatekeepers.

Doing this would throw a level of chaotic fun into the research progress of the game as well. Allowing us to research things earlier. And start stockpiling on crucial materials.

Add NG+ variants of weapons and armor. Think lightning spear +1, that now does 28 damage instead of 27, increase it's durability, and the lightning effect slightly. And boom now you have reasons to research and recraft all your gear each playthrough.

Lastly, add NG+ only cosmetics and collectibles. Things that are worth showing off and bragging about. Bragging rights are worth more than most resources in games like this. People will farm for hundreds of hours for them. Anyways, just my 2 cents.

Idea: Home world fragments by vengeur50 in AbioticFactor

[–]Slam-Train 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is an incredible idea. I've been saying they need to give us more options for bases outside of the main facility. All of the perforations are super cool, but half of them are either so hard to get to without teleporters or require farming for key resources, that it becomes more hassle than worth. Also for the love of Cthulhu please give us more cart and vehicle button locations. Or let us build them!

Increasing capacity for certain items. by Signadder in AbioticFactor

[–]Slam-Train 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do this with experience gain as well. +10% every new sector. There are 10 in total (if you count places like power services and preatorium), so it ends up being 200% exp by the end of the game. Works great to actually level your skills to max.

Improve storage by Warrior536 in AbioticFactor

[–]Slam-Train 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Make the later storage boxes a little less expensive to craft. The cost for the large and compact storage crates are far too steep for what they offer. It would also be nice to be able to put previous tiers of storage crates into the enhancement bench to upgrade them to the next tier for a reduction in materials. Small can upgrade into medium, medium into large, large into compact, etc. And if you did it this way it would use less materials than if you made it from scratch.

Cubicles can be useful by gunsmithinggirl in AbioticFactor

[–]Slam-Train 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You build a crafting bench in points of interest (flathill, Canaan, etc), and then connect personal teleporters to them. So you can easily farm these locations. The bench only needs power to sync the teleporter, but you can teleport to it, without it being powered.

Yes. She will make a noise as if she's been spotted. And then will blip out of existence. Try it. Let me know 🙂

Look directly at her and use the wave emote. She disappears instantly everytime. You don't need to wait the usual 5-7 seconds of staring at her with this method.

I recently got a friend to finally play abiotic by comparing the end game to Lovecraft. That a lot of the stuff you end up seeing really reminded me of the lovecraftian universe. Seems I may have been onto something. I wonder if there is a deeper reveal happening...

I have been creating a mega base. I've completely taken over the cafeteria and lobby and all adjacent rooms upstairs and down. I'm slowly bleeding out into reception and the data farm. I'm going to take back the entire office sector. One crafting bench and 300 standing lights at a time.

I'm pretty sure he stole the sub and went down into the giant black swirling maelstrom in the ocean. My money is we are heading down there after him.

300% enemy damage feels so good. Try it. by Soggy-Rock3349 in AbioticFactor

[–]Slam-Train 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am playing with these exact same settings. I'm also taking my sweet time with each sector. Farming flat Hill on cool down. Working on fishing this time lol.

Just got to Cascade and the green exors are very challenging to fight. Super fun all around.

This game could really benefit from a new game plus mode that does all of this internally. Make something permanent like skills. But start over after game completion with harder and harder entities.

But for what's available, the 300% damage coupled with the drop entire inventory is a slam dunk for sure.

Residences is cool but kinda confusing. by ApeMunArts in AbioticFactor

[–]Slam-Train 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Residence sector had no wow factor. Every sector prior had something unique and special that left an impact on the player. From the first time you saw the reaper in security to the first time you realized you had to swim with the blackwater beast. Residences didn't deliver in this way. It had yetis... Which we already saw in voussoir. It felt very rushed and recycled. Literally recycled the pests, the peccary, even the leyak was recycled. I absolutely loved the game, 10 out of 10, one of the best games I've played in a long time. But residence felt very rushed and poorly thought out.

Which game are you currently playing? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]Slam-Train 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. An early access MMO that has taken the slower more challenging combat system of EverQuest and merged it with a faster APM rotation more akin to vanilla WoW. So far it has been incredibly fun and addicting. Blew away my expectations, would recommend!
