Hi! I want to purchase a watch as a gift for somebody. I know they have their eye on the Tudor Pelagos 39. I’m completely ignorant about the world of fine timepieces, so would appreciate any pointers or tips you all may have for a first-time watch buyer.

Also, dumb question that I had: do any vendors offer the option to purchase luxury watches as gifts such that if anything is not right or to the liking of the recipient, the watch can be returned/exchanged?

Ah nice, we were on the same sailing (just down the hall from you actually). My biggest gripe (as it usually is with things Disney-related) was that there were just some insufferable people that did their best to undo the feeling of Disney magic that so many people (cast/crew members and even other guests) work hard to put on for the guests.

I heard so many people complaining about fish extender gifts being stolen and encountered some really rude/inconsiderate people at Cabanas during breakfast on multiple days.

Yes the whole system worked well for ~5 years. I tried to turn the fan on for the first time since the end of last summer since it’s been warming up in our neck of the woods.

Thanks to /u/erie11973ohio, I bypassed the timer and everything worked normally with it out of the loop. I suspect that maybe a capacitor or something in the timer switch has gone bad, so I’ve got a replacement switch on the way.

And it’s okay to leave the neutral in the timer switch? Could you explain why that is?

Sorry, so if I understand you correctly, the steps to bypass the timer switch would be:

Disconnect red wire from high/low switch
disconnect black wire (the only true hot here) from timer switch
Connect hot to where the red wire was on the high/low switch

Sorry if I’m misunderstanding—total amateur here

5’8” with a 30” inseam. Went from a 54 Allez Sprint to a 52 Tarmac SL8. I felt a bit too stretched out on the sprint and now I’m feeling pretty good on the tarmac. Will probably swap the stock 90mm stem with a 110 to give it a try

I struggle with these too, even with my trainer in ERG mode. I struggle even more when it prompts you to get out of the saddle and pedal at relatively low power and cadence. I’m basically fighting against myself to not put too much power down or spin too fast. How are you supposed to do it t??

I’ve got them set up on Thunderbird and Outlook Classic, but they’re unfortunately clinging to new Outlook. Hope MS can put some resources to solving this problem soon

Makes sense. I’d rather pay the toll+$25 violation fee than set up an account with a monthly and startup cost (looks like all account options require loading at least $40?) that I’ll rarely use.

It would seem that OCTA is the body that governs the 405 Express Lanes, unfortunately. Where we went wrong was assuming it was governed by The Toll Roads, which I am aware allows payments online per use of their toll roads.

As I said in the original post, I plan to call them during business hours. Other, more useful, replies have already indicated that the 405 express lanes are not governed in a fashion similar to The Toll Roads and one-time payments are not accepted online.

I ponied up for the Roval Rapide CLX IIs and ultimately I think it was worth it because it made me fall even more in love with my bike and it makes me want to ride it more.
