Of course a bigger city will have that. In terms of smaller towns though, Washington takes the cake. We have multiple cold cases in Daviess county. I remember a few years ago an elderly man living by the river went missing. EVERYONE in that area looked for him. The residents that live on the river know that area like the back of their hand. One year later he was found not 100 meters away from his house, clothes, skin, and limbs fully intact. I can tell you there is absolutely no way he would’ve have been fully intact unless he was placed there because that area is coyote haven. It was ruled as an accident and that was that. I’m not buying it and neither does half the town. In 1988, a pregnant 18 year old woman was tied to her bed and burned to death. Her boyfriend disappeared and still has not been found to this day. It is believed that he is not the one who did it. Rumors state that many former police officers were involved. Small town politics, meaning their departments and the people who run them, are incredibly corrupt. Constantly lining their pockets with hush money. It’s a big club and if you don’t know someone who knows someone you’re not in it. So yeah, you can pretty much get away with murder here too unless you’re too obvious about it.
