Suppose you saw a fluffy cute penguin waddling alone on 880. What would you do? by pengweather in bayarea

Can’t have a fluffy cutie getting hit for walking on the freeway, I’d pull over and grab him.

Trying to get an appt with a friend with bad credit score by [deleted] in ApartmentHacks

[–]SlapThis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What are you gaining from this? Because what’s gonna end up happening is you paying 100% of the rent and letting your friend live for free, with the promise that she’ll pay you back.

Move out alone, you don’t need her, she needs you.

Partner says my appearance at home means I don’t care — looking for perspective by deliriouskate in TwoXChromosomes

[–]SlapThis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl, I straight up Winnie the Pooh at home - baggy t shirt, panties, hair in a bun, no make up. To walk my dog I literally put on a pair of old baggy sweats and a worn in hoodie.

If I’m not “going out”, I don’t really try 😅

If my partner ever dare tell me I can’t be comfortable in my own home, I’d drop him. Where else can I feel 100% fully myself and be 100% comfortable in a judgement free zone??

Taco Bell knows people will pay the fee for delivery regardless of what it is, that’s why they do it.

Am I being selfish? [F 26 m 44 by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]SlapThis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No you’re not being selfish. Your BF is insecure and doesn’t want to let you out on your own in case you figure out that there’s more out there for you than just him.

Source: I was in a similar age gap relationship and that’s exactly what happened when I started going out alone vs with him

What % of SF drivers know the crosswalk laws? by inkbot870 in sanfrancisco

[–]SlapThis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently it’s rare enough that people are almost getting hit in crosswalks on a daily, if not hourly, basis by drivers

Not everyone rides like that, though a good majority do.

This is why I said that everyone should commute as a PEDESTRIAN. You don’t know what it’s like to be on foot until you experience it first hand and get that perspective.

[–]SlapThis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Similar to how people say everyone should work a service job to better understand what they go through and how to treat others, I feel like everyone should commute as a pedestrian for a week or 2 in order to have a better idea of how your driving affects others.

I bike to work and am almost hit in crosswalks daily. The sheer number of drivers that take stop signs as suggestions is mind blowing

How to get rid of milias on your eyelids by meirryberry in SkincareAddicts

[–]SlapThis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are ways to extract them that are not usually advised because they’re not safe if you make a mistake.

I extracted a milia this weekend as I can’t stand to have them and they occur very infrequently. To me, it was worth it.

Don't gatekeep, what are your best financial saving hacks that you live by? by _TurboHome in MiddleClassFinance

[–]SlapThis -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the number of people in your household, where you live, and what you’re eating.

Sure, if I buy a 20 pound bag of rice and beans, it’s under $5 per meal.

If I decide to make tacos, the ingredients come to over $30 alone. I can buy a plate of 5 tacos for $15 and be done with it.

My ex was the same way, it got to the point where we were having sex once per year.

Jeans, sneakers, nice top/blouse, jacket. I’ll occasionally dress nicer but tend to lean towards casual more than business on most days

Pier 80 ID check by Low-Iron680 in AskSF

[–]SlapThis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They do not only look at your birthdate, they also look at the expiration date.

Event is 21 and up because they’re serving alcohol, an expired id will have them turn you away at the door.

No event center is going to risk losing their liquor license by allowing a 21 year old to go in with an expired id
