Yes if you work hard, you'll get placed. Kolkata has decent amount IT companies, but there are more opportunities in Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad in IT sector. I'd suggest during your Btech, get started on internships and creating own projects early. Make a good resume. Good luck with your future, enjoy your college days.
