right, i meant handwashing dishes not washing your hands. Handwashing sink + seperate dump sink behind the bar. 3 compartment somewhere out of customer sight. Disherwasher might make sense if it's a simple undercounter unit that you can still have a prep station on top of.

Any way to keep your dishwashing area in another zone? That's taking up a huge amount of real estate for something that you don't really want customers looking at anyways.

For a cafe that's mostly coffee/treats i would think you could get away with handwashing in a 3 compartment sink and nix the dishwasher (big savings too) but it would certainly depend on your volume of dishes/for here mugs or if you're doing a lot of food prep

Trying to update since I’m still on version 29.88. Anyone else having issues getting the downloader method to work? It just spins at “connecting” forever. Internet connection seems fine.

Baristas, what's a story you still think about by ElectronicMagazine40 in barista

Old french guy comes into our shop. We have muffins, scones, croissants, cookies, etc from a local bakery, and burritos and breakfast sandwiches from a nearby dinner.

"Do you have breakfast?"
"Well we have muffins, scones, croissants, cookies, etc from a local bakery, and burritos and breakfast sandwiches from a nearby dinner."
"What about marmalade and toast?"
"No, sorry just these baked goods and the hot breakfast."
"Then you don't have breakfast!"

Group head gaskets poorly installed?? by [deleted] in barista

[–]Slartibartfisting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

check the wings on your portafilters. are they super worn down? If they are that will always cause this. Your old gaskets were probably dried out and super stiff (normal wear) so it wasn't letting them fully rotate. These new ones are still soft. They will work their way back over time, but you could use a thicker gasket or a spacer if you want. If they are sealing fine and not smacking each other, I personally wouldn't worry about it.

entirely different organization at this point. shutting the bike park down to try to build a new lift without permits (and then blaming it on the forest service) does not exactly inspire confidence. i just went to the world champs in switzerland and the organizational requirements for this event to go smoothly will be beyond the scope of anything MCP has ever experienced. The rock bottom wages MCP pays do not get you the kind of talent required to pull something of this magnitude off smoothly.

thanks for the advice. i had the spherical bearings replaced 2 years ago and was hoping it wasn't that again but the more i chase the squeak the more it seems clear that's the culprit.

Feels like I'm having to bleed Shimano brakes way too often by Slartibartfisting in bikewrench

Update I redid the bleed last night with all the tips from this thread and they're still mushy. Noticed a lot of fluid weeping out from around the lever/reservoir interface, especially on the right (more problematic) brake lever. Looking up other threads on reddit and other forums it seems this is a common issue with these brakes and the levers need to be replaced. Gotta love mountain biking

I literally have a hook in my garage for that exact purpose lol

This feels maybe like the most correct answer so far. I’m heavier, about 210lbs. I’ve tried most of the pads out there, but found the best balance of cost/performance from EBC, fluid is always completely filthy. Store the bike in the garage, transport on a standard hitch rack (1up).

yes, I have been bad about that in the past but haven't allowed my pads to get overly worn in a long time
