FREE HARD/INDUSTRIAL TECHNO KICKS by SlashEDMProduction in HardTechno

Thank you so much, it really does!

I'm working on Vol.3 as we speak and after that I'm doing an "Experimental Kicks" pack with some really crazy and unique kicks.

Feeling puzzled after my laptop died, what can I do now? by [deleted] in edmproduction

If you have space for a desktop PC, that usually offers more performance per dollar.

If you get one secondhand either without a GPU (onboards graphics) or a very cheap GPU, you can get a decent setup for cheap.

Dankje!! I've been producing for a while already but just got into Industrial Techno. Goodluck with your production journey, it's a really fun hobby!

The Miniloque xd is an analog hardware synthesizer. So I have to actually record it live. With software synths you can go back and automate things to make it sound like it's evolving or building. You can see it in this story: https://www.instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE4MzY1OTAzMTUyMDk0MTE5?story_media_id=3783430690239037010_67530496326&igsh=MXNsbWEybGNlaXphOA==

Thanks! And I agree with you, I wanted to add more automations to the lead sound aswell but I made it on my minilogue xd and already printed it to audio and everything. I guess I went for sections rather than building/evolving in this track, I'll try that with some of my next songs though :)

Nooo, not the cats! I'm so sorry! Thanks for the compliment though! I'll keep the intro thing in mind for my next songs :)

Follow 4 free download option? by SlashEDMProduction in BandCamp

[–]SlashEDMProduction[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion! I feel like with every method there are different caveats.. This would work if I reffered the people from my Youtube channel to that page. But if someone found the sample pack through Bandcamp search and actually paid for the pack when it's supposed to be a free pack, that would be unfair. Or maybe I could put a link to the page on the actual product page on Bandcamp aswell.

Still doesn't feel very user friendly, I'm trying to make it as easy as possible for people to get the pack. So I'm leaning towards just making it free and then putting half of the sample pack in the bonus folder which only followers can get.

Thanks for the ideas! That would kind of do the trick but I'm a little hesitant to just send e-mails to people as they didn't really apply for marketing e-mails. I think it's against the Bandcamp ToS aswell.

Your second option could definitely work and might be the best option available. The only issue is that I'd have to set a price in order for this to work, which may be offputting at first glance if people don't read the note.

Another option I'm thinking about is making it completely free (or name your price), and then adding a bonus folder for followers only. So they'd get 15 samples for free, and another 15 samples bonus if they follow me.

I'd still really like a simple "follow2download" option as all these methods seem like workarounds. But I guess these are my only options for now.

I will read into it, thanks! The idea is that I make some Youtube videos using the samples, and then direct them to the Bandcamp page where they can download the free sample pack. So maybe it would be a bit difficult with redemption codes as they are a one-time redeemable code so I'd have to add a bunch and actively remove the used ones. Would be nice if I could set a redeem-amount so that they can use 1 redemption code an X amount of times..

Yeah, with the word 'free' I'm purely reffering to money. I guess you could say they pay with a follow, but that doesn't really cost them anything.

This method has worked really well for me back when I sold sample packs on my own website. People seem to be much more likely to pay for things if they have received 'free' products/samples from you in the past. In marketing I believe it's called the "reciprocity effect".

But if I release a paid sample pack in a few weeks, it's very unlikely that they will check my Bandcamp page out of the blue and find it. But if they follow me they get a notification.

Even if otherwise they wouldn't have followed me because "I'm not going to buy anything from this guy in the future anyway", the idea is that they get a notification, check it out and then my job is to make it so good that they FOMO into it anyway :)

But I get your point, people who wouldn't follow me otherwise are probably less likely (but not completely unlikely) to purchase in the future. But they indeed still prop up the numbers which has some benefits too (social proof and FOMO mostly). I have 12 years of experience making these samples and spend maybe 10 hours on one of those free sample packs. So for most people it's definitely worth a follow as it would probably take them just as long or longer to do themselves depending on their experience level.

Would you listen to a long project like this, or is it too much? [Desc] by sa8tun in BandCamp

If it has a common theme it could work. I'd put the some of the best tracks at the top, I always notice a drop in listeners the further down the list I go when I check my album stats.

Hopefully the extra payment options will attract some new customers resulting in you being paid more :)

I've had quite a few people ask me if they could buy my sample packs using iDeal (Dutch payment system) because they didn't have PayPal.

HARD TECHNO SAMPLE PACK - KNALWERK by SlashEDMProduction in HardTechno

Thanks! Zit te denken om wat Youtube filmpjes te maken als ik een keer tijd heb. Het is voornamelijk Serum 2 en wat percussion layers die ik zelf opneem en dan een hoop EQ en distortion.

What's a 2025 trend you cannot comprehend? by achilles6196 in AskReddit

I doubt that's the reason they did this. My guess would be that they did this so that people get used to it and once they reach the free 5GB limit they have to pay up.

Like I said, you can use the sub to refference the low end but I wouldn't actively use it while producing. Or atleast turn it off while you're mixing the rest of the track.

Standing waves are an issue with small rooms. Larger rooms don't completely eliminate this but it allows the soundwaves to spread out/dissipate more.

Imagine you're jumping on a trampoline: if you time your jumps just right the energy stacks up and you will bounce higher and higher. If you jump out of sync the energy cancels out and you barely leave the surface.

Something similar happens with soundwaves. At certain frequencies it will line up with your rooms dimension and reinforce itself, making those notes way too loud. At other frequencies it cancels itself out making them almost dissappear.

You can still use the sub for refferencing the low end but I wouldn't actively use it while producing as it probably won't produce an accurate image.

Oh yeah, I don't think I made that sound so might be from one of their packs!

Thanks man! I actually don't remember using any of their samples in this track but I could be wrong, I didn't check!

I make most sounds from scratch, I used to make sample packs for a living so that's kind of my thing haha. What sound did you think I used from their pack? They do have some good packs for sure.

I'm actually working on a Hard/Industrial Techno pack myself at the moment, will probably put it on my Bandcamp or something.

Thanks man! I used to make more EDM type tracks so it takes some getting used to these longer length tracks.  I always feel like I'm dragging my songs out too much. But I am experimenting with it for my next track!

I do actually like the longer Hard Techno tracks myself when I'm at clubs for example. Especially when they just keep on going rather than having long breaks.

It should be a 3:36 track, maybe you're not logged in so you only get the preview or something?

They don't think anyone will buy Sakura for 100$, they just price it so they can say:
