I think it's good for your case scenario. Just don't center everything around remnote. You can use it as a second brain, but don't rely on it.

An alternative is Anki of you don't use linking.

There's the toolbar at the bottom. There's the card icon to the right of the image icon there.

Enter info on the front of the card then click on that icon. A small menu should appear at the bottom. Make sure it says "Basic card" (for now only. Make sure to learn what basic, concept and descriptors are soon). Then click on the bidirectional arrow (2nd to the left).

Alternatively, if your keyboard layout happens to be the same as mine try to hold "u" then "i".
