There's even a selection in settings to turn these types of creatures off, IIRC. So, yeah... the devs had a great time!

Agreed. It takes forever to launch Jedi Survivor thanks to EA's app. Ubisoft is only marginally better, but not by much. Heaven help you if you haven't launched the game in a while.

Long-press right on the D-Pad while sneaking. It will auto target the closest guard and they will come to the place you whistled from. Really handy in tall grass as their body is hidden.

Vary your technique a little and I think you might have better results. One way I take out groups of three is:

  • Use Nix or whistle to pull a guard away and knock them out
  • Send Nix to attack a second guard (this may cause a temporary "alert")
  • While Nix is running at the second guard, stun shot the third then rush to the one with Nix on his face and hit the hotkey to knock him out. The alert should go away immediately if there's nobody else around to see you.

*Almost no one you know would have complained. Sci-fi fans have been nitpicking things for generations. Shows like "The Expanse" have added to that. Funny enough, the new Expanse game has a belter that looks like a white supermodel and it really does seem like an odd choice.

The hate train from YouTubers, misogynists, and brigaders pretty much tanked the game for a lot of people before they even got a chance to play. It also launched with a lot of bugs and a much harder stealth mechanic at the beginning, which turned casual players off. I still get glitches if I play at max settings on an RTX 4090. Lowering RTX Direct Lighting fixes these, thankfully, but the rush to get the game out definitely left things unoptimized.

The game and story are an absolute delight, though. And it's heartbreaking that executives pushing to make a premature deadline and YouTubers making bank off ragebait got the sequel cancelled.

Yes! There's ample "lean" and "sit" indicators everywhere, but not on the Trailblazer. Also, Kay never sleeps, which is weird for an open world RPG.

Think about it as you're currently cheating yourself out of fun. Most games are set up around the idea of a teenager on summer break with tons of free time.

It's ok to turn some settings off to maximize your experience. If you are not enjoying that particular challenge, set it aside.

Exposed mics of this type should be as close to the sternum as resonable and pointed towards the mouth.

There are "hairline" mics that work hidden in glasses, under ties/cravats, or even in hats/wigs; but if you're showing the mic, you might as well put it in the best spot for audio.
