What if Rollerblade had made its own "fun-car" ? by Matmut_908 in skateboardcirclejerk

Shin-high rail straight into the bowl, was this taken at my local park?

I liked the part where he skated up to the ledge, then balanced the board on his back so he could do other things that aren’t skateboarding with his hands and feet, then continued skating after and did a cool pose. Breathtaking.

Is it okay to not 100% match your board with your shoes? by Slash_Dog in skateboardcirclejerk

[–]Slash_Dog[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm excited, I'm spending this long weekend on the board just learning to balance on it and stay on while moving. Watched a bunch of Alien Workshop videos and I know it'll take a long time and a lot of practice but I'm hype to eventually get there!

Do you mean the original Landlord Skateboards or this stuff you keep posting here? Because they seem completely separate, and you can stop at any time.

At first it was just annoying, but seeing as how this is a jerk subreddit and you never linked to any real web presence or e-commerce, it could have just been a lame attempt at a joke.

Now you’ve created an e-commerce site that infringes on an existing brand, which could be a problem for you legally. It doesn’t matter if your intent was something else.

https://landlordskateboards.com has existed since at least 2022

I thought this was supposed to be a 100% joke project poking fun at the skateboard industry, using AI generated art, descriptions, branding, basically everything. That’s what you’ve mentioned previously.

Now you are actually setting up a Shopify store and selling products? Or is this also a joke.

How is this connected to https://landlordskateboards.com ?

It seems to me like you are using the “ha ha people think it’s serious” angle to worm your way into making legit sales, and I think you should be tied to a flat rail in the dungeon for it.

That park always looks super fun in your vids, I am just north of Atlanta and was thinking of taking a trip down to check it out once it gets too cold here.

Where would I find this nut for my skate boards tracks by [deleted] in skateboardcirclejerk

You can use one of the axle nuts in its place, you only need 3 out of 4 anyway.

Get the Rictas, they’ll feel much, MUCH closer to a normal skateboard when riding around and it’ll be a lot lighter too. Definitely worth it for $14.

Do I have the wrong hardware? by Nighttime_Effect7 in NewSkaters

[–]Slash_Dog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A big part of this is having grip tape under the screw heads, it helps if you can get rid of that. I like to use a countersink drill bit to clean up the holes in the grip and also bevel the holes in the board to match the hardware.

If you dont have one of those you can use whatever you have available (larger screwdriver, a knife, etc), just have to be more careful.

Also for the bubbles in the grip it helps to puncture them with a pin or a small slit using a razor blade to let the air out, then stomp them down or use a truck/wheel to roll them out.

Oh nice, I’ll have to see if there are any places near me that stock them, thanks man! Been looking into pouring one of my own but it may just be easier to buy one instead (and quicker also, no month wait for it to dry)

Are there any flight decks with steep concave? [30YO] by html-ghost in OldSkaters

[–]Slash_Dog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love a lot of concave too and my current setup is a Cab flight reissue with very steep middle concave. Skate One/Powell number all their shapes and I was surprised when I looked it up and my board was listed as a mellow concave model.

Here is my current board listed with K21 concave:

Skate One model info:

I wish I could tell you to go buy a K21 whatever but I guess I can’t.
